Penticton & District Community Arts Council
The Penticton & District Community Arts Council is located inside the historic Leir House Cultural Centre. Visitors are invited to tour the house while taking in the current art exhibition. The arts council offers fun art classes each month and has locally made items for sale in the gift shop. There are artists in residence to visit and it is also the home of the Penticton Potters' Guild and the Penticton Academy of Music & Dramatic Arts. Sea to Sky Paragliding – S2SPG
A paragliding school and provider of tandem paragliding experiences for locals and tourists to the spectacular Sea to Sky Corridor and Vancouver area. We are located in PEMBERTON/ WHISTLER Area Paragliding is freedom. Its a way of being in the moment. A peaceful experience in the sky that gives you a feeling of awe and amazement. Sea to Sky Paragliding hosted the Canadian Paragliding Nationals in 2017, and again in summer 2019 with international pilots from 13 countries. Pilot Guy Herrington has flown over 1500 flights in 7 countries on 4 continents. He has flown as high as 15,000, on flights lasting over 8 hours and has gone distances of over 230km. Nechako White Sturgeon Conservation Centre
The Nechako White Sturgeon Conservation Centre hatchery program is dedicated to maintaining genetic diversity and conserving the population of the Nechako White Sturgeon. The hatchery is used to rear sturgeon eggs into one-year old sturgeon for release into the river. Research projects and programs also run out of the hatchery. Visitor Hours: Tours currently available by appointment only. As of Thursday April 24, tours will be available at 2pm daily (including weekends). Specific tour time requests are still available and approved based on operations and staff availability. Call the hatchery at 250-567-6673, email nechako@gofishbc.com or email info@nechakowhitesturgeon.org to book.There is an Community Fishing Pond stocked with rainbow trout on-site that is open for public fishing (catch-and-release only) on a drop-in basis. Free rod and tackle gear is available. Adults 16 years+ require a basic fishing licence. The Trout Fishing Pond is open May 1 October 31, dawn to dusk.
