The Osoyoos Desert Centre is a 67 acre nature interpretive facility where visitors can learn about desert ecology, habitat restoration and conservation of endangered ecosystems in the South Okanagan. Guests are invited to explore Canada’s desert by taking a guided or self-guided tour along a 1.5 km elevated wooden boardwalk. In addition, the Centre features an interpretive facility with hands-on exhibits and a native plant demonstration garden. Visitors can also browse through our Gift Shop, enjoy a snack in the outdoor picnic area, or relax at one of the kiosks and take in the spectacular views.

Explore the waters and shoreline surrounding Alder Bay on a three and a half hour guided kayak tour. Using stable double kayaks, these kayak tours are suitable for everyone even those with no prior kayaking experience. As we quietly kayak along the shore we often see bald eagles dotting the trees and curious harbour seals popping their heads above the water as we pass.

A 300 acre nature reserve with level walking trails, bird viewing blinds, observation tower and interpretive centre (free) . Known for a large nesting colony of Great Blue Herons which nest from March through July. Great bird and wildlife watching. Check website for free community programs and special events. Trail open dawn to dusk. Rotary Interpretive Centre is open 10 am to 4 pm.

Open from May to September,PineRidge is a productive farm, a fully serviced RV park, and a rustic farm market where we sell our own homegrown produce as well as local specialties. We are situated on 70 acres where we have a 5-acre fenced garden, an orchard and greenhouse, and largely undeveloped fields and forest. We are located in the pristine Spider Lake area north of Qualicum Beach near the world famous Horne Lake Caves.

A nostalgic and chic boutique winery operated by a young family. Award-winning wines and always a fun atmosphere in our public tasting room and giftware boutique. We are open year round with no reservations required: 10:00 am to 5:30 or 7:00 pm daily from mid-March to Oct.31 and noon to 4:00 pm, Tuesday to Sunday from Nov. 1 to mid-March. Also available for rent is a fully-equipped 4 bedroom fishing lodge, which sleeps 10-12 people: The main floor is equipped with a spacious kitchen area, dining area, living area with air conditioning, main bedroom with window air conditioning and 1.5 bathrooms. Off the main area are patio doors leading to a spacious lakeview deck with large picnic tables, BBQ, side table, sink and natural gas fire pit with 6 chairs and 2 stools. On the lower level there are three bedrooms, laundry room and another bathroom with spacious shower.
