Once the home of Rossland's dairy, Red Barn Lodge is well situated for its current role of providing a convenient base for your Summer and Winter outdoor adventures. With wilderness starting at the backdoor and spectacular views of Red Mountain and Mount Roberts from the front, the guesthouse is just 5 minutes by car from Red Mountain Ski Area and Blackjack Cross-Country Ski Area.Rossland's downtown, with its great restaurants and stores, is just ten minutes away on foot. Trails lead from the yard into the backcountry for ski tours, snowshoeing, mountainbiking and walking on the many paths through the surrounding British Columbia Interior Cedar- Hemlock forest. The Trans-Canada Trail runs by just a couple of hundred yards away, through the Red Barn Lodge property. Snowshoes are available to guests.The lodge is well situated in 13 acres of private grounds. Kids love all the space for sledding and building snow sculptures in winter and also the in-ground pool (available in July and August). Tourism BC Approved accommodation.

You will have many photo opportunities as you drive on forest paths & mountain top trails to pristine lakes & breathtaking viewpoints as you ride in the backcountry with Okanagan ATV Tours. Okanagan ATV Tours offers 2 hour & 4 hour tours guided ATV Tours. The ATV & Fly Fishing Tours are a full day guided excursion with Okanagan ATV Tours where you & your companions will ride in 2-seater Side by Sides to a lake for fly fishing. Once there you will be outfitted by Okanagan ATV Tours with all of your fishing gear & float tube so you can go out on the lake to enjoy a few hours of fishing. You will have an Okanagan ATV Tours licensed angling guide & ATV guide with you for this tour.

Tyax Lodge & Heliskiing is a British Columbia original, sitting on Tyaughton Lake and surrounded by the Southern Chilcotin Mountains. The lodge offers a fusion of luxury and comfort while retaining a rustic and welcoming atmosphere. The area is renowned for outdoor adventure, with an endless trail system providing some of the best alpine biking routes, hiking trails and nature walks that BC has to offer. Kayaking, canoeing, and stand-up paddleboarding are complimentary to our guests. The resort boasts a beautiful lake view dining room & patio with stunning views, high arched ceilings and a breathtaking stone fireplace. The kitchen features a seasonal a la carte menu from a passionate team of chefs. The Spa includes 3 treatment rooms, an infrared and dry sauna, eucalyptus steam room, outdoor Hot Tub, yoga studio, and therapists who can assist you after sport or during your absorption of tranquillity. Additionally, guests can choose to stay at one of the three luxury wilderness chalets at the resort. Offering private accommodations for up to 18 guests (depending on the chalet), they are perfect for a family reunion or getaway. In the summer, if camping is more your approach, guests can choose from five RV lakefront sites and one non-lakefront site. We also have five tent friendly campsites available with water, washrooms, and showers. One tent per site, four people per site maximum.

You can even help yourself to fresh garden herbs when in season, like garlic, parsley, sage, tarragon, chives, fennel, sorrel, dill, mint and more, grown right on the property. Guests can eat their meals on one of the lodge's outdoor picnic tables or the indoor shared dining/living room. Host and long-time Queen Charlotte resident Terry Tollestrup is full of insider information and tips on what to see and do in the area and where to find the best fishing around the island. (Fishing charters are available from several nearby outfitters and guides.) Room rates vary from $120.00 to $340.00 per night depending on the room rented and length of stay.
