Vancouvers old houses and the stories of the people who built and lived in them are my passion. My History Walks through Vancouvers heritage neighbourhoods: the East End/Strathcona, West End, Mount Pleasant, Grandview & Cedar Cottage, are a culmination of over two decades working as a house genealogist. During that time I produced in-depth histories of over 800 Vancouver houses. People call me the House Whisperer. My blog, When An Old House Whispers is followed by people in over 70 countries world wide. If you like walking through and photographing historic neighbourhoods, if you ever wanted to time travel, if you are curious to uncover the mysteries hidden behind the doors of old houses, if you have an ear for old-timers stories, my History Walks are for you! The Bill Reid Gallery is the only public Gallery in Canada dedicated to contemporary Indigenous Northwest Coast Art and honours Bill Reid by exhibiting the Bill Reid SFU Art Collection as well as presenting special exhibitions and programs that build bridges between all peoples, including Indigenous and settler populations. The Gallery is conveniently located in the heart of downtown Vancouver and can be found within a short walking distance from the Canada Lines City Centre Station located in Pacific Centre or the Millenium/Expo Lines Burrard Station.

Douglas Reynolds Gallery was established in 1995, and is located in Vancouver on Granville street between 7th and 8th avenues in the South Granville gallery district. We specialize in renowned Northwest Coast artwork. The gallery showcases museum quality pieces which make use of contemporary media such as resin, bronze, glass and aluminum. Works include masks, totem poles, bentwood boxes, sculpture, gold and silver jewelry, and early historic objects. Director & owner Douglas Reynolds, has over twenty years of experience dealing with Northwest Coastal native art. The gallery offers pieces by well-known artists such as Bill Reid, Robert Davidson, Jim Hart, Don Yeomans, Beau Dick and Klatle-bhi, while also supporting emerging artists such as Jay Simeon, Phil Gray, David R. Boxley, and Marcus Alfred. Works by these artists can be found in museums and private collections worldwide. We take pride in our friendly, knowledgeable staff.

MacSailing is the sailing school at the Jericho Sailing Center in Vancouver. We offer introductory sailing lessons for children and adults. Our goal is to offer a complete sailing experience based upon excellent instruction and a safe environment, utilizing equipment appropriate for all ages in a fun and dynamic atmosphere. All of our coaches are Sail Canada (or equivalent) certified with water safety and first-aid training.

The Museum, formerly the Port Moody Station Museum, is owned and operated by the Port Moody Heritage Society (PMHS) to promote and increase the awareness and knowledge of Port Moody’s heritage and history. Exhibitions at the Museum include the Historic Port Moody CPR Station itself, now in its 3rd location. See artifacts and walk through the parlour, kitchen, and telegraph room, recreated to reflect the station as it was in the 1930s. The Museum is currently featuring the exhibit ‘Port Moody Industries’ & ‘Our Living Languages: First Peoples Voices in BC’, on loan from the Royal Museum of BC, and our own ‘Inclusion’ Exhibit. We’re committed to Reconciliation and sharing the histories of Indigenous Peoples. Enjoy community displays, the Heritage Garden and the Meditation Garden. Our restored 1921 CPR railcar, the “Venosta”, is available to explore or to rent for events. Our mission is to promote an appreciation of community heritage by preserving and presenting history through events, exhibits, and programs. We welcome everyone to discover our shared heritage.

The newest member of the donut tour family is now open in Vancouver, Canada! The tour takes about 2 hours and well walk about 2 miles. Enjoy the restored Tram Car 1220, originally built in 1912, and the largest artefact in the City of Richmonds museum collection. Housed in a building inspired by the architecture of the first Steveston tram station, Tram Car 1220 now rests on its original rail tracks. Nicknamed the Sockeye Special, the interurban tram service carried workers from Vancouver to Steveston to work in the canneries, from 1905 to 1958.
