Founded in 2004, the Smith Family built Howling Bluff Estate Winery and vineyard from scratch on our farm on Three Mile Rd that is now part of the famous Naramata Bench wine region. We released our first vintage, the 2006 Sauvignon Blanc, in the spring of 2007. Four BC Lieutenant Governor awards, one Silver in the Decanter World Wine awards, one Red Wine of the Year award, and too many other accolades to count later, Howling Bluff is now focused on finding the best expression of our vineyard for our wines while making sure we create a legacy of a sustainable family winery that our children will continue with far into the future. From our solar panels to our biodynamic, organic and most importantly to us sustainable farming and winemaking practices, added to our efforts to buying local when possible to our most ambitious mission yet: to use, as much as possible, products that have the lowest possible footprint on our planet.

At Coastal Springs Float Lodge we offer a relaxed, intimate fly-in salmon fishing experience. Our full service lodge has been in operation for over three decades and is located on the central British Columbia coast amid the splendor of Knight Inlet and Blackfish Sound. Our protected location lets us take advantage of glass calm waters unavailable to most other lodges in British Columbia. This combined with a lodge designed to accommodate smaller groups makes Coastal Springs Float Lodge the premier salmon fishing experience in British Columbia.We have kept our operation at Coastal Springs small in order to provide an intimate, family style atmosphere. We emphatically reject the high capacity people farm model of operation as we only take 8 guests at a time.
