We might be biased, but its the best beach in Tofino. Maybe the world? We hate to boast but the awe-inspiring sunsets, marshmallow roasting campfires mixed with a family friendly (and adorable dog-friendly) stretch of sand is hard to beat. If thats not enough, well top it off with a hospitality staff that goes far beyond making your stay unforgettable and will end with a feeling that youve made some new best friends. We have a new lobby complete with a General Store with drinks, food, rental fire pits and electric bikes, art, staple grocery and camping goods. Our brewery lounge and tasting room is Quesnel's favourite meeting place. We are fully licensed and serve locally-sourced artisanal pizza and other delicious snacks to go with a rotating assortment of our brews (12 taps). We also serve wine and cider, and non-alcoholic as well as root beer, ginger ale, and cola. Settle in at our custom-built TIMBER KINGS table, or enjoy the fresh air on our patio - accompanied CHILDREN are always welcome.

Historically, Island Mountain Arts has sought to provide opportunities for the exhibition of professional artists in northern BC, for the benefit of both artists and northern communities. Relative to major urban centres, there have been minimal venues for exhibitions in the north, resulting in limited access to cultural activities for residents of small, isolated, or northern communities. Prior to 1988, Island Mountain Arts occasionally produced professional exhibitions by partnering with venues in Wells such as the Wells-Barkerville School, the Community Hall and the Wells Hotel, to exhibit artwork. With the restoration of the Hill Meat Market building in 1988 and creation of a public gallery, IMA was at last able to provide a secure professional venue for exhibits in Wells.
