Welcome to the Roedde family's home. Gustav and Matilda Roedde settled in Vancouver in 1888. Gustav opened the first bookbinding business in Vancouver and by 1893 moved into their new house in the West End. Roedde House is attributed to famed architect Francis Rattenbury and is a City of Vancouver-designated Class A Heritage House. Since 1980, the Roedde House Preservation Society has taken painstaking care to renovate and furnish the house to reflect the ambience of late Victorian family life. Come in and experience life in the late 19th century for yourself!

Our guides live to fish and make every fishing trip a memorable experience. You'll leave the dock in the good care of a great guide with years of fishing our local waters. The fishing areas near Campbell River are protected from the ocean swell of the west coast of the island and are home to five species of salmon as well as bottom fish. The scenery, wild life, and fresh air are exhilarating and a perfect backdrop for a perfect fishing charter. You are welcome to bring any food and drinks you would like to enjoy on the boat. You will need a fishing licence with salmon stamp which can be purchased at our local tackle shop or purchased and printed from any computer if you search "Canadian tidal fishing licence" the site will come up. We are happy to fish groups of any size and have experience arranging fishing for corporate charters. Four on the boat is maximum, two or three are best . A 20-minute drive from downtown Victoria, Fort Rodd Hill and Fisgard Lighthouse National Historic Sites offer abundant ways to spend a fascinating half or full day exploring historic battlements, weapons and displays.
