Continuously occupied for over 4,300 years, Yuquot village became the capital for all 17 tribes of the Nootka Sound region. Known as the Birthplace of BC where first contact with European explorers and traders occurred 250 years ago. Attracted to the security of the harbour, it became known to explorers as Friendly Cove. As a result, Yuquot developed into an important centre of trade and diplomacy, and it was briefly the site of Spains only military establishment in present-day Canada.

The Wild Pacific Trail is located in Ucluelet and is a seven phase trail system skirting the rugged cliffs and shoreline of the west coast of Vancouver Island. - Temporarily closed The Williams Lake Cross Country Ski Club offers over 30 km of beautifully set cross country ski trails at Bull Mountain. We maintain a double set of classic ski tracks with a wide centre lane groomed for skate skiers. Grooming equipment consists of both a new Pisten Bully and a new Alpina Superclass snow machine. We can groom quickly and in both low and high snow conditions. Located 16km North of Williams Lake, off Highway 97 one km up Bull Mnt road we offer designated Dog trails, 3.5km of lit trails, until 10 p.m. nightly, an adventure park, terrain park, and a large stadium for hosting events. Our lodge is fully equipped with a modern kitchen, 3 accessible washrooms and a ski rental facility. We invite you to enjoy the great skiing nearby in 100 Mile and Quesnel and embrace a memorable skiing holiday in the Cariboo.
