Snowshoeing is a great way to explore winter landscapes. We cater to a wide variety of age groups, fitness and experience levels. If you have never been snowshoeing, fear not, if you can walk you can snowshoe. Join us on a guided tour through beautiful snowshoe designated trails in the sub-alpine forests of the Selkirk Mountains. Tour includes snowshoes, tea, snacks and a gondola ride.

Therapy Vineyards & Inn is tucked away amongst the winding roads, vineyards, and mountains of the Naramata Bench. Perfect harmony is found in the west facing slopes, glistening Okanagan Lake and evening rays of sunlight. Enjoy the peaceful sounds of morning quail, night crickets, and gentle breezes while soaking up the view from the deck or hot tub with a glass of wine. Open year round, our Inn offers five rooms. Blackwood Lane Winery was the dream of Carlos Lee and that of his oenophile partners. Their goal was simple, to produce wines that lived up to their high standards and expectations. Their philosophy is summarized in the Companys motto: Bonus Vita et Bonus Amici (Good Life and Good Friends). As wine lovers, they realized that people in the Greater Vancouver area had to travel to the Okanagan Valley in order to acquire the best wines of the province, so they decided to bring the wines to them. Accordingly, they set up their boutique winery in the heart of the Fraser Valley wine corridor, only minutes from Vancouver, on 12.2 acres of the most beautiful south facing slopes in the area. Big Bar Guest Ranch is proudly owned by Stswecemc Xgattem First Nation (SXFN), a community located in a semi-remote area on the the Fraser River, approximately 85 kilometers southwest of Williams Lake. Once two distinct bands, Canoe Creek (Stswecemc) and Dog Creek (Xgattem), our two Secwepemc communities joined together in the late 1800s. We honour our separate histories and our coming together. In the 1860s, more than 10,000 people traversed the Caribou Wagon Roadin search of a new life, land to raise cattle, or a gold strike. Harry Marriott, an immigrant from England, started working for the notorious Gang Ranch, one the largest ranch in Canada. Marriot acquired smaller ranches and land parcels, eventually consolidating them into the O.K Ranching Company, with access over 200,000 acres of cattle country and wilderness. Marriott partnered with his friend and Vancouver banker, George S Harrison and sectioned off 100 acres of their mutual land acquisition for his personal use. This was the beginning of Big Bar Guest Ranch. Much is unchanged since the Harrison family used Big Bar Ranch as their family retreat. The original family home, "The Harrison House", built in 1936 with logs and stone hewn and selected from the property, continues to provide a cozy retreat for guests on holiday relaxing in the great room in front of the fire place, or playing a cowboy song on the guitar in the music room. Big Bar guests have access to the original acreage of the OK Cattle Company, and can venture out across unspoiled pasture lands and forests. What has changed is that Big Bar Guest Ranch is now a part of our shared community vision of becoming an economically and politically self-sustaining community living Secwepemc culture, language, and traditions in a healthy and safe environment. Stswecemc Xgattem First Nation invites you to Big Bar Guest Ranch to experience the dramatic landscape of traditional SXFN Territory: interlocking valleys and plateaus, situated between bold and snow topped mountain ranges. It is our honour to share history as the original inhabitants of this land and welcome you to life on the ranch.

This is a beautiful spot to come relax in a rustic log cabin on the lake! This fishing resort is 1.5 hours north west of Kamloops B.C. There are 8 log cabins total and five cabins that are lakefront with private docks. This amazing little place is tucked in the wilderness, where the natural beauty is. With sixteen lakes available to guests to fish with rowboats waiting for you, everyday is an adventure. The cabins at the resort all have row boats and electric motors included with you stay. These mountain lakes all produce beautiful Kamloops rainbow trout. This is a quiet place to relax, go for a swim, paddle, walk or hike and have some fun fishing for feisty trout by fly or lure.

Nakiska Ranch offers country living in an incredible natural setting of towering forests and flowering meadows. The Lodge is nestled in a grove of fir and pine trees while the spectacular Trophy Mountains crown the horizon. Cattle and horses graze peacefully nearby, as our Lodge borders onto beautiful Wells Gray Provincial Park. Many species often roam our magnificent surroundings.

The Daajing Giids Visitor Center is located on the waterfront with gorgeous ocean views. We are an excellent local source of information when visiting Haida Gwaii. Inside the longhouse inspired building you will find engaging, resourceful staff, artisan galleries, a gift shop as well as useful interpretive materials. Head outside to our garden and picnic area to relax and take in the fresh air. We also have a large day parking area for RVs and clean indoor public restrooms. We are closed seasonally from December until mid-April. We will be intermittently checking our email; and voicemail messages throughout this time. Stay tuned for our reopening date in Spring!

Spirit of the West kayaking Adventures has been offering sea kayaking tours and trips around Vancouver Island, BC, Canada, since 1996.
