The Qualicum Beach Museum chronicles the social history of Qualicum Beach including First Nations, early pioneers and 'local characters'. It is also home to a paleontology exhibit and fossil collection renowned for its scientific and research value, as well as the Powerhouse Discovery Centre, a brick and steel heritage building with exhibits about power and energy. The museum maintains an extensive archive of local historic documents, photographs and artefacts and responds to inquiries from the general public.

The Fort Nelson Visitor Information Centre is located at Mile 300 on the famous Alaska Highway. Stop in to get information, ask questions, use the computers or internet, use bathrooms and fill up your coffee mug. The centre is also stocked with local artisan products from art and jewelry to pottery and First Nations products which may make a great keepsake. We have Covid-19 procedures in place - if you have any concerns please give us a call We are closed on Statutory Holidays

The Days Inn Nanaimo is located off Trans-Canada Highway 1 with easy access to the Nanaimo Airport and both BC Ferry Terminals. We have 4 pet-friendly guest rooms, some kitchenettes, family rooms with bunk-beds and spacious 1 and 2 queen bedded rooms. Free Parking and WiFi. The hotel is located minutes from the Nanaimo Waterfront and Historic Downtown Nanaimo as well as other popular visitor hot spots . We rent and DELIVER kayaks and paddle boards to Lake of the Woods or Kawkawa Lake. We drop off and pick up equipment at no extra charge in Hope, B.C.
