Lava from Clinker Peak is responsible for the creation of The Barrier. Behind this natural dam 300 metre deep Garibaldi Lake was formed.

We here at the 'Ksan Campground welcome guests with open arms. Come here for tenting sites and full service sites. We are located near the Historical Pioneer Village of Hazelton and directly beside the Ksan Historic Museum and Village. Our small little town has various places for tourists to wander to and explore. Also, right down the street from us is the Tri-Town Theatre showing modern movies at VERY competitive prices. Historic Joy Kogawa House is the childhood home of Canadian author Joy Kogawa. Joy and her family lived in the house until 1942, when they were sent to an internment camp along with thousands of other Canadians of Japanese descent. Now used as a site for author residencies and literary events, the house stands as a historical reminder of the internment experience of Japanese Canadians during WW2.

Hours Tuesday - Saturday 12:00pm- 5:00pm (Closed Holidays). Admission by donation (Adults $5, Kids FREE). The Gallery is a wonderful destination for anyone looking for an experience of contemporary Canadian art by some of our countrys most celebrated artists.
