A small horseshoe shaped bay. Off-grid and off the beaten path. It is a different life here and we would like to share it with you. We have three rental cottages on Airbnb. Boaters mooring at the government dock are welcome to stroll the grounds, garden, trails, and meet the world renowned wharfinger. There are showers, laundry, ceramic art and a spectacular veggie garden. Mark has been wharfinger for 25 years now and is really beginning to get the hang of it. Come see.

The Victoria Golf Club, founded in 1893, is the oldest course in Canada on its original location, and second oldest in North America. The course began as 14 holes but quickly expanded to 18 in 1895. There have been at least three different lay-outs - the one played today was finalized in the mid-1920s (after a decision in 1923 to end the practice of hitting tee shots on two holes across the ever-busier Beach Drive). Our stately Clubhouse, completed in 1928, is a registered Canadian Historic Place and has undergone a number of expansions and renovations (including the most recent in 1993) and provides a grand and comfortable venue to begin your own memories. When you walk through this storied building you'll be reminded of a rich history of golf, companionship and community that spans over generations. Perhaps one of the more obscure yet heartwarming examples is a series of photos of a foursome on the course, taken annually on the same date over five decades. Golfing Legends For more than a century, famous names have graced our course, including golfing greats Harry Vardon, Byron Nelson, Joyce Wethered, Ben Hogan, Al Geiberger, Pat Bradley, George Knudson, Sam Snead, Dawn Coe Jones and Johnny Miller just to mention a few. Numerous celebrities, like Bob Hope, Bing Crosby, Wayne Gretzky, Pamela Anderson and Kiefer Sutherland have also been drawn to the seaside links through the years, not only to play but also in support of charitable causes. History continues to be made in the annual Victoria and Seattle GC inter-club, a home and home friendly that is the oldest international golf tournament in North America (since 1895). The Seniors North West Championship, representing players of various levels from the U.S Pacific northwest, British Columbia and Alberta, continues to be hosted by VGC for eighty plus years now.

We have four-1100 sq foot suites with central air, full kitchen, gas bbq, mountain views. Each suite contains 1 king bedroom & 2 queen bedrooms. All this situated on an organic farm.

At Chateau Riverside, we are committed to making all our guests as comfortable as possible. The chateau has free high-speed wireless internet (300mbps) which provides high speed connections when you need to make online calls to whenever you wish, and a 50 flat screen TV with cable for each room. For our guests who wish to stay a longer period, we have two units equipped with in-suite laundry machines. We also have a wheel-chair accessible unit. Our family has been farming on this lovely part of the Oldfield valley since the late 1950's; first in strawberries, and then loganberries for the island wineries in the mid 1960's to 70's. We planted our vines in 2003 and opened our tasting room in 2012. Just 15 minutes north of Victoria near Butchart Gardens, we specialize in dry white wines and lively, lightly oaked reds. We grow Ortega - a signature grape for Vancouver Island, as well as Pinot Gris, Gewurztraminer, Pinot Noir (we make a rose and a red from this grape), Millot and Foch, as well as our low alcohol "Splash".
