The Ladysmith Gallery hosts two art shows a month that are open to the public - a monthly member art show featuring a variety of artworks around a different theme from Vancouver Island and Gulf Island artists; followed by a 10 day guest artist exhibition. The location also features a curated gallery boutique shop with smaller artworks from over 50 artists. The boutique holds seasonal offerings as well. Other events that take place at the Ladysmith Gallery are art pop-ups with interactive art experiences, prestigious art exhibitions such as the biennial Fine Arts Show and late night shopping opportunities during the December season. On our Victorian Characters walk you will get to know the larger-than-life personalities of Victorian Victoria. You will hear their stories and sagas, and appreciate their lasting legacy to the city, province, and country. We also offer a Historic Pub Walk, where you will tour vibrant pubs in some of the grandest heritage buildings in the city. We provide customized private walking tours to groups of all sizes.

The Kootenay Lake Historical Society is the custodian of the S.S. Moyie, the world's oldest intact passenger sternwheeler. The Moyie plied Kootenay Lake for 59 years - it is now a National Historic Site and Museum. Open from May through October, visitors are taken back in time when the board the vessel. Fun for families and people of all ages!

Wayward Distillery is a true craft distillery, situated in the fertile Comox Valley on Vancouver Island, and has led the charge in honey-based spirits since 2014. The Deep Bay Marine Field Station provides many learning opportunities for the public. We have aquariums and touch tanks that help to interpret the local marine environment to our visitors. A visit to the station can be quite an interactive experience! We have both guided and self-guided tours that provide interpretation on several themes along with occasional public lectures and special events.
