The White Rock Museum and Archives is a place for celebrating our community and its history through collecting and preserving artifacts, researching and designing exhibitions, and interpreting and communicating stories. We offer changing exhibitions and events for all ages that interpret regional and local history and challenge visitors to think about the future as well as the past. Our role is to provide not only enjoyment and inspiration for those who visit, but to preserve our valued heritage.

Higgin's Inn is a spacious well planned facility close to the most popular beach in Powell River. The suites are large former apartments, beautifully appointed, and fully equipped for short or long-term accommodation. Each suite has a full kitchen, dining room, living room private bath and one, two or three bedrooms. We also have our newest addition: A ground-floor accessibility suite with special features in the kitchen and bathroom to make our guests with mobility challenges extra comfortable. The Penthouse suite is our most popular especially for family and friends reunions.

We are a family based winery focusing on premium wines produced from grapes grown in the spectacular Similkameen Valley. Our unique solar powered winery was built using strawbale construction, which is energy efficient and well suited to our desert environment. Our wineshop is open for tastings from May until October. The West Coast Railway Association presents the story of how the railways were a catalyst in the creation of Western Canadian communities and their economies. This is done primarily at the Railway Museum of British Columbia (formerly the West Coast Railway Heritage Park) in Squamish, BC, where the collection of 95 heritage railway locomotives and cars are exhibited in a typical small community setting. WCRA also operates the Locomotive 374 Pavilion in Vancouver.

The Cariboo Ski Touring Club is a non-profit organization that caters to cross-country, skate skiing and snowshoers. We provide 75 km of groomed trails for both classic and skate skiing. We also have 10 km of snowshoe trails. We offer youth program, biatlhon and lessons. Rental Shop available for renting skiing and snowshoeing equipment. Day Lodge on site.
