The main gallery offers a sense of what life was like for Nanaimo's earliest settlers and the Snuneymuxw First Nation. Our award winning replica coal mine is a popular stop. The museum also manages the Bastion, an original Hudson's Bay Company post built in 1853. Dont miss the gift shop! Bulkley Valley Nordic Centre

The Bulkley Valley Nordic Centre features a 52 km network of cross country ski trails through sheltered spruce and pine forest. 11 km of the trails are dog friendly. 5.5 kms of lit trails provide an excellent opportunity for skiing after work or school. Trail lights are on until 9:30 pm every night. The trails are groomed and set for both classic and skate techniques frequently. The Buchfink Memorial lodge offers a kitchen, indoor washrooms, change rooms, and a roomy seating area upstairs. The Gary Murdoch Memorial wax hut provides a warm and functional space for waxing.

Parwood Disc Golf Course

Parwood is an 18 hole disc golf course located in Sparwood, BC. The course is rugged and is built on the side of a mountain. The course is made up of 18 Innova baskets with yellow metal bands. The course is located at the end of the old ski hill road (Sparwood Heights Drive), behind Sycamore Rd. Visit the Leisure Centre (367 Pine Ave) to get maps, discs, brochures and instructions.

The Grizz Hotel opened in September 2019, in that time it has undergone renovations both inside and out. All the rooms were renovated at the start of 2020 including new bathrooms. We now also serve the Wing n' it franchise in both our onsite pub (the Last Drop pub) as well as our restaurant, where hotel guests can enjoy a 15% discount on food. Rooms come with a fridge, cable TV, air conditioning and WiFi access. Tea, coffee and hot chocolate are available anytime in the lobby. The Grizz Hotel is situated in downtown Revelstoke just a few minute walk away from many different restaurants, cafes and stores and also a short walk away from the Colombia River Greenbelt.
