A scenic 40 minute ferry ride from Vancouver, situated on the beautiful Sunshine Coast, Up The Creek Backpacker's Lodge is 14km from the ferry terminal at Langdale. It is a charismatic, family-run cedar house nestled amongst many large cedar and fir trees, and is an easy 10-minute walk to the "Heart of the Roberts Creek". The lodge includes a guest kitchen, large sun-deck with hammocks and barbecue, friendly common areas, free loaner bikes, boardgames, and a resource library and book swap. The Nelson Museum, Archives & Gallery is a multi-faceted organization with a history museum exhibition, regional archives, two contemporary gallery spaces and a fabulous gift shop. The history museum features an introduction to the Sinixt and Ktunaxa nations, culture and perspectives, the history of European exploration and the challenges of trade and travel routes, and how various industries such mining, transportation, hydroelectricity affected the area and the creation of the Queen City. Our galleries rotate exhibitions eight times per year and feature everything from contemporary art and pop culture, to fine craft and design, to local architectural and social history the Nelson Museum's exhibitions connect to this areas creative energy and rich heritage. Project X Theatre is back with another exciting season of family-friendly summer programming! Theatre Under the Trees will run in Prince Charles Park from July 7th - 26th, 2025 and features two exciting shows, "Thumbelina" and "The Emperor's New Threads". More info available at projectxtheatre.ca.

The Contemporary Art Gallery (CAG) is an independent, non-profit public art gallery and one of Canadas leading venues for contemporary art. Offering free access to everyone, we work with artists from Canada and around the world to produce exhibitions, off-site projects, residencies, learning, outreach, community engagement programs, events and publications. Each of these interdependent strands of programming varies in scale, duration and location to challenge how and where we might engage with contemporary visual art.

Seal Bay RV Park is one of Vancouver Islands finest, privately owned, fully serviced, year-round campgrounds. In a park-like setting, all sites are either 30 or 50 amp and also have water, sewer and cable connections. For your convenience wifi is available along with Shaw Go. The washrooms are heated, clean and showers are coin operated. A coin operated laundry is also on site. Wilderness tenting sites are open during the Summer months. If you are looking to get away for some peace and quiet this is the place to be, no pool, no playground. There is a beautiful pond stocked with rainbow trout and fly-fishing is available some of the time. A trail directly into Seal Bay Nature Park gives you an opportunity to go biking or hiking and in 30 minutes you can be down at Seal Bay. An ideal place to base your stay in the Comox Valley, 10 kms from either Courtenay or Comox.
