Let us help you make the most of your trip to Haida Gwaii! We are located inside the Sandspit Airport Terminal with our hours changing seasonally. Sandspit/K'il Kun, is the southernmost community on Haida Gwaii, and the only community on Moresby Island. We are the last stop and gateway to Gwaii Haanas. Our community's many nearby bays and trails offer exiting places to explore coastal life and set up a base for your next adventure. Come in and ask us for a community trail guide map or other local information. We also pride ourselves on our gift shop which is a beautiful space to browse while you wait for your flight, where you will find books, souvenirs, and local art before you leave the islands. Bike rentals available. The Sandspit Visitor Centre is usually opened on flight days, around plane times. Please note the Sandspit Visitor Centre is sometimes closed at short notice due to staffing shortage. The Centre is also usually closed if a flight is cancelled.

Family Friendly Music Lounge and Brewery. Our Kootenay crafted beer is made with pure untreated water. We don't use any additives, preservatives or filtration in our brewing process. Come sit down for a pint or take beer to go in growlers. Aside from beer we offer in our lounge wine, cider and non alcoholic drinks. Take advantage of our dry snacks or bring outside food in from any place you like.

The coolest new activity in the Kootenays! Kokanee Mountain Zipline will provide customers with the incredible freedom of flight high above Kokanee Creek and a view of the variety of natural flora and fauna, while at the same time encouraging preservation of the area's significant natural resources and history. This 1.5-2 hour tour with two professional guides on six ziplines will take you up to 300ft off the ground, along 2400ft of the tree canopies. Cape Scott Provincial Park is a truly magnificent area of rugged coastal wilderness that is located at the northwestern tip of Vancouver Island, 563 kilometres from Victoria. Cape Scott is characterized by more than 115 kilometres of scenic ocean frontage, including about 30 kilometres of spectacular remote beaches. The rugged North Coast Trail is a challenging and popular 43.1 km hiking track that connects many pristine beaches by stretches of tough overland passage. The park stretches from Shushartie Bay in the east, then westward around Cape Scott and south to San Josef Bay. Rocky promontories, salt marshes and jagged headlands punctuate the fine-textured, white-sand beaches. The most impressive of these beaches, Nels Bight, stretches more than 2,400 metres long and 210 metres wide at low tide, and is one of the parks most popular camping destinations. Other significant beaches include San Josef Bay, Guise Bay, Experiment Bight, Lowrie Bay and Nissen Bight.

Sorrento Centre welcomes large events, small groups and individual guests to relax and enjoy our beautiful 24-acre main campus, including our private waterfront on the Shuswap Lake. Visit hiking trails and biking routes and rest in great beauty. Motel/lodge rooms (some with cooking facilities), private cabins, serviced RV spaces, cozy cabanas and tent sites (including those with a view of Shuswap Lake). Sorrento Centre hosts groups from 5 to 500. We have a large site beside the lake, and varied buildings which can offer great versatility to your organization. We have three lodges with comfortable accommodation, several conference spaces and many beautiful outdoor settings for your group to engage in what excites you. Our kitchen is delighted to provide family style meal service to your group of 12 or more. Three meals a day plus snacks are available, with previous arrangement. We use produce from our own farm whenever possible and love to share the bounty of this place. We cater for some dietary concerns creating vegetarian, gluten free, dairy free, and nut free meals when given advance notice. Please ask about choosing your own menu if you have special requests or just loved what you had last time you were visiting.
