The Fort Nelson Heritage Museum is situated just West of the historic Mile 300 milepost on the World Famous Alaska Highway. The museum is located in Fort Nelson, BC, Canada and is operated by the Fort Nelson Historical Society. Fort Nelson is the gateway to the Northern Rocky Mountains and the Muskwa-Kechika Management Area. Mission Statement: To preserve and share the human, natural, and transportation history of the Fort Nelson area. Housed in 8 buildings, the museum offers countless displays and artifacts. View displays on forestry, fire fighting, mining, oil & gas, communications, construction, and wildlife. The museum is also home to a large collection of vintage automobiles. The mission of the Comox Air Force Museum is to preserve and teach the history and heritage of the Royal Canadian Air Force with a focus on CFB Comox, 19 Wing, and the west coast of Canada. A self-guided tour begins at the dawn of military aviation in WWI, WWII, Korea, the Cold War and United Nations Peacekeeping before reaching the section that features all of 19 Wing's past and present squadrons. The research library contains aviation reference materials, technical manuals, personal accounts, biographies, logbooks, and photographs. A well stocked gift shop is filled with clothing, hats, toys, and exclusive RCAF memorabilia. Heritage Air Park is home to a collection of aircraft that once flew at CFB Comox.

Dawn Mountain Nordic Centre: Come and explore our exciting Nordic ski trails in beautiful Golden, BC! We provide 33 km of groomed trails and a 4km snowshoe loop to enjoy. Whether youre a seasoned Nordic skier or its your first time on the trails, we have a variety of terrain to suit all abilities. These trails are maintained by the Golden Nordic Ski Club in agreement with Recreation Sites and Trails BC. Situated only 1km from the popular Kicking Horse Resort, Nordic skiing is a fun activity to add to your winter holiday bucket list. Stop in and say hello, use the washroom, stretch your legs, look at local art and get grounded in a slower pace world. Please follow all signage.

Surf Junction Campground i located at the entrance of the Pacific Rim National Park and the UNESCO World Biosphere Reserve. The campground sits on 50 acres, in the privacy and peace of the forest, but just 5 minutes from the town of Ucluelet and 5 minutes from world famous Long Beach and Kennedy Lake Provincial Park. The Surf Junction has much to offer. Large private sites with clean new facilities and a wide variety of services in a gorgeous woodland setting. Customers can soak in the hot tub or relax in the sauna. By the pond there is a covered cooking and eating area. There is sports equipment available free of charge you can enjoy on our playing field. There's even a place to wash out your wet suit.From surf rentals to coffee and espresso drinks along with firewood, snacks and other camping essentials the Surf Junction has most of your camping needs right in the office. The campground staff can book surf lessons, whale watching, bear watching, fishing and many other adventurer

Brigadoon is a unique 9 hole course with 2 par 4 holes and 7 par 3's, playing to 1500 yards. Golfers of all ages and playing abilities will enjoy the course, but those expecting an easy par 3 will be surprised. The atmosphere at Brigadoon is friendly and welcoming, with the course open to the public 7 days a week, no tee times. The coffee's always on!

Explore 22 secluded acres of pristine forest and sand and pebble beach while you stay in one of our 12 walk-in waterfront and forest campsites. This private campground offers a tree shower, 60sq ft wharf for fishing or sun-bathing, a buoy for mooring, a boat launch, and close proximity to the ferry and services for cyclists, hikers, or drivers.
