North Island Wildlife Recovery Centre

The North Island Wildlife Recovery Centre is located in a park-like setting with a peaceful rustic atmosphere. When visiting the centre you will be able to view eagles, several species of owls, falcons, hawks, ravens, and black bears. Rehabilitating eagles can be viewed through one way glass in the largest flight enclosure of its kind in Canada. The Centre's mandate is the rehabilitation of injured and orphaned native wildlife, with a focus on raptors and black bears. GUIDED TOURS: are available for groups of 15 or more. HOURS OF OPERATION: 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. 7 days a week. ENTRANCE FEES: $15.00.00 adults, $6.00 children aged 3-12, plus applicable taxes.

Deluxe safari tents with with either king bed or two doubles. The camp is perched on a 630' long deck 16 feet in the air above the water's edge. Packages are all-inclusive with chef-prepared meals, guided activities and grizzly bear, eagle and salmon watching in the autumn months. Fishing, hiking, biking, rafting, kayaking, horseback riding, SUPing, and wildlife viewing are included. With sixteen lakes available to guests to fish with rowboats waiting for you, everyday is an adventure. The cabins at the resort all have row boats and electric motors included with you stay. These mountain lakes all produce beautiful Kamloops rainbow trout. This is a quiet place to relax, go for a swim, paddle, walk or hike and have some fun fishing for feisty trout by fly or lure.
