We consider ourselves stewards of the land and take a wholly sustainable approach from grape to glass. We choose this for the good of the wine, the land and those who work it, and the generations to come. As the first Certified Sustainable Winery & Vineyard we incorporate many sustainable practices including no insecticides nor herbicides in the vineyard, solar power, use of winemaking waste materials to generate compost to fertilize the vineyard, and social responsibility to name a few. Built in 1989 by owner/operator Chris Bennett from locally salvaged red cedar, Blackfish Lodge is a charming, family-run fly-in floating lodge located in British Columbia Canada, within the new Great Bear Rainforest, about 30 miles east of the northern end of Vancouver Island. Blackfish Lodge offers both fresh and saltwater fishing opportunities for all skill and experience levels. When you fish with us there are no pre-set fishing hours, we will fish each day as conditions and your preferences guide us.
