The Ladysmith Gallery hosts two art shows a month that are open to the public - a monthly member art show featuring a variety of artworks around a different theme from Vancouver Island and Gulf Island artists; followed by a 10 day guest artist exhibition. The location also features a curated gallery boutique shop with smaller artworks from over 50 artists. The boutique holds seasonal offerings as well. Other events that take place at the Ladysmith Gallery are art pop-ups with interactive art experiences, prestigious art exhibitions such as the biennial Fine Arts Show and late night shopping opportunities during the December season. Located in the heart of downtown Ladysmith, the Ladysmith Gallery is seconds away from local shopping and restaurants. Kidtropolis is an interactive indoor playground focused on providing a great play experience for children and families. We love to inspire children to use their imagination to pretend play in our city. Children can be police officers, fire fighters, shop in our food market, take care of animals, take care of each other, fix a car, travel the world in our airplane and so much more! Kidtropolis offers drop in play, birthday parties, private events, Kids Night Out, Nerf Night, Day camps, Field Trips and so much more! We love a good party! Playing can work up a pretty good appetite - guests can purchase snacks and food items from our Munchies Cafe too! The Stanley Park Railway is one of Vancouver's most popular attractions, welcoming over 200,000 visitors per year. Situated on a site cleared by Typhoon Freda in 1962, the two kilometer track travels through the forest in iconic Stanley Park. Kids of all ages will enjoy the fun relaxing ride in a replica of Canadian Pacific Railway Engine #374, famous for pulling Canada's first transcontinental passenger train into Vancouver in the late 1880s. The railway hosts events for Easter, Halloween and Christmas and is open for the summer from end-June through Labour Day.
