Learn more about Indigenous people, the fur trade, homesteaders, and the development of Fort St. John and the North Peace region of British Columbia. Come explore a tepee, trapper's cabin, blacksmith's shop, 1921 school room, 1930s dentist office, missionary chapel, 1930 Outpost Hospital room, 1910 BC Police Barracks and Jail, Finch's General Store, and more! Try interactive activities like sorting mail in our post office. Our gift shop is a fabulous place to find books on the Peace Region, BC, Alberta, and the Yukon. We have a wide variety of souvenirs, clothing, stuffed animals, jewellery, and gifts. Our archives can help answer requests about the North Peace from photographs to genealogy. We're open Monday to Saturday year-round.
Blackfish Lodge
Built in 1989 by owner/operator Chris Bennett from locally salvaged red cedar, Blackfish Lodge is a charming, family-run fly-in floating lodge located in British Columbia Canada, within the new Great Bear Rainforest, about 30 miles east of the northern end of Vancouver Island. Blackfish Lodge offers both fresh and saltwater fishing opportunities for all skill and experience levels. When you fish with us there are no pre-set fishing hours, we will fish each day as conditions and your preferences guide us. Elevate Heli Yoga
Take flight for an exhilerating helicopter ride and enjoy stunning aerial views of the Okanagan before alighting on a mountaintop with a breathtaking 360 degree double lake view. Here we will flow through a private yoga class in the fresh alpine air followed by a mouth watering picnic of delicious local wine and cheese, with plenty of time for photos and taking in the panoramic views of the valley. Mountain top heli-massage is also available, either on it's own or as an add-on to the yoga experience.
Huble Homestead Historic Site
Huble Homestead Historic Site is a turn of the century heritage attraction located north of Prince George, BC, on Lheidli T'enneh keyoh. This living history museum, open daily from Victoria Day to Labour Day, is located alongside the Fraser River and offers visitors a glimpse of settler life in northern British Columbia. The site is open daily to the public for tours, special events, lunch, and shopping in the General Store. Huble Homestead is 40 km north of Prince George, just off Hwy 97 on Mitchell Road. Admission is by donation.

Britannia Shipyards National Historic Site is an authentic representation of a once thriving community of canneries, boat yards, and residences, along the scenic shores of the Fraser River. Tour the oldest shipyard buildings in British Columbia, as you experience a bygone time when fishing and boatbuilding were flourishing industries on the Fraser River. Many of the buildings date back to 1885 and tell the stories of the diverse community of residents and workers in the historic fishing village of Steveston.
