Chims Cabins is located on the west side of Port Alberni along Highway 4, just a 57 minute drive from the city centre and event venues. Ideal for travelers heading to Tofino, visiting for work, or couples seeking quiet comfort. We offer six (6) self-contained cabins with private entrances, full kitchens, and mountain views. Cabins feature queen beds or a combination of queen and double beds, with pull-out couches and roll-up cots available in select units. Amenities include free Rogers Business Wi-Fi, satellite TV, and one dedicated parking spot per unit (extra parking available upon request). Our eco-conscious property offers on-site garbage, recycling, and food waste disposal. Rates are based on double occupancy (2 guests sharing a queen bed) or number of beds provided. $25 + tax per night applies for each extra guest using the pull-out or cot. The Fort Nelson Visitor Information Centre is located at Mile 300 on the famous Alaska Highway. Stop in to get information, ask questions, use the computers or internet, use bathrooms and fill up your coffee mug. The centre is also stocked with local artisan products from art and jewelry to pottery and First Nations products which may make a great keepsake. The Chali-Rosso Gallery collection is primarily focused on graphic works by the Modern Masters, including Pablo PICASSO, Salvador DALI, Marc CHAGALL, Joan MIRO and Henri MATISSE. In addition, we also offer works by REMBRANDT, Pierre-Auguste RENOIR, Edgar DEGAS, Andy WARHOL and a variety of others. The gallery launched the Definitely Dali project in May 2017, continuing in 2018 and 2019.

Sept 4 to Dec 20 2025 Carr House is open Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from 10-4 for self-guided tours. Wander around the garden, explore the house, and browse the gift shop! Born and raised in Europe, Crystal studied and received an economic degree and began work in hotel management. Her artistic side joined her love of the public when she opened Crystal's View Bed & Breakfast in 1996. An strong interest in interior decoration, culture, travel, cooking, and baking, harmonize well together and fulfill her dream of operating a small business specializing in warm hospitable service.
