Trail, BC is located in the beautiful West Kootenay region of the southern BC interior. Nestled between the Monashee and Selkirk Mountains, Trail sits on the banks of the mighty Columbia River. The Trail Visitor Centre operates from the Trail Riverfront Centre in the heart of downtown Trail, sharing space with the Trail Museum & Archives and the Trail & District Public Library. Plentiful paid, on-street parking is available, with one free RV parking stall. We are also situated one block from the main public transit hub in downtown Trail. The Nkmip Desert Cultural Centre is a 9,000 square-foot interpretive centre that exhibits 2 films, the Inkameep Day School Art Collection, indoor and outdoor interactive exhibits, a 1.5 km walking trail, and reconstructed traditional Okanagan village, and (visitor favourite) interpreter hosted programs which boast a fun filled experience for all ages! The centre is also an architectural marvel, and was built from local, sustainable materials.
