Freedom Flight School
Want to soar like an eagle? Or knock an item off of your bucket list? Then come and visit us! We offer tandem flights for: Paragliding, Hang Gliding & Motorized Hang Gliding Trike. Tandem flights range in time from 8 minutes to over an hour, depending on the conditions. If you want to become a pilot yourself, we have qualified instructors to teach you how to paraglide or hang glide. The flight park has 2 launch sites and a 2000' grass runway and 2 smaller taxiways as well as a Pilot's Lounge, an outdoor covered deck where you can relax after your flight and watch others "commit acts of aviation"! We are open from late April to mid-October, weather permitting.

Battle Abbey Backcountry Lodge
Battle Abbey Backcountry Lodge, operated by Weber Powder, offers all inclusive (guided & catered) refined mountain experiences in the remote British Columbia backcountry. Established in 1978 by Hans Gmoser (the founder of CMH), Battle Abbey is perched at 2200M in the sub alpine and sits on 10,000 acres of exclusive world-class terrain. Battle Abbey offers a wide array of adventures for intermediate to expert backcountry ski tourers and split-boarders. From steep tree skiing below the lodge to high alpine bowls, couloirs and long glaciated runs above, there is Supreme Skiing for all weather conditions. Trips include ground transportation from Calgary International Airport, inbound/outbound helicopter flights, lodge accommodation, gourmet dining, lodge staff, four ACMG certified guides as well as all safety equipment. Battle Abbey will be closed for the summer of 2024 while the lodge undergoes extensive renovations.

Macaloney’s Island Distillery & Twa Dogs Brewery
Macaloney's Island Distillery & Twa Dogs Brewery is a producer of premium malt whiskies and superb craft beers. Our basic tour lasts 45 mins and begins in our visitors centre and flows the way the spirits go, past the grist mill where you can taste some of the various strains of malted & un- malted barley, or other cereals that we as a craft brewer as well as a distiller get to play and experiment with. Onward into the heart of the Brew & Still house through the smells of the mash tun & wash backs, past the gleaming swan necked Stills and then up into the warehouse and bottling hall before returning back to the visitors centre for a wee dram of two of the whiskies in our Macaloney Cask Selection series along with three of our craft beers. Woodland Cabins is a premium micro-resort nestled in the trees on a beautiful park-like acreage. Guests love the combination of a luxury hotel experience within the serenity of nature. Simon Hotel
Just minutes off Hwy 1, Simon Fraser University Conference and Guest Accommodations are proud to offer a variety of accommodation and meeting room choices at our urban mountain top retreat. With accommodations for up to 750, we have options to suit the budget needs of groups of all sizes. Hotel rooms, meeting space, and dining facilities are available year round. Townhouse Quads and Private Residence rooms are available mid-May to mid-August. The Simon Hotel offers 14 rooms total, 11 with a queen bed (Queen Suite) and 3 with a queen bed and a pull out sofa couch (Queen with Sofa Suite). Parking is included in the room rate for the Simon Hotel. Simon Hotel suites include free WIFI, a mini fridge,Keurig coffee and tea brewing system, HDTV, & more.
Creekside Golf Course
Creekside Golf Course is now open for the season. The standard hole size in golf is just over four inches, at our Creekside course, the holes are nearly double that circumference. Just think of the hole-in-one opportunities! The accessibility of this course attracts a whole spectrum of players. Designed by expert golf architect Bill Newis, Creekside Golf Course opened in 2001 and has since been attracting beginners, families as well as seasoned golfers who wish to improve upon their game. Creeksides longest hole is 145 yards (roughly a sixth of the length of the average course), providing beginners with a relaxed experience and giving a confidence boost for the skilled golfer.

West Coast Motel On The Harbour

Free WIFI & optik TV, free use of pool and 3000 square foot gym with harbour view + sauna. No pets permitted, no smoking in units. Cookshack with BBQ and crab pot on site during the high season. Lots of room styles to choose from from tiny, but economical suites, full kitchen suites, 2 bedrooms and our West Coast units with covered balconies facing the boats. We also have a 4 bedroom "Fisherman's House" with a huge deck facing the boats.

Boutique, private, peacefull and clean cabin accommodation located on 70 acres, but only a minute from downtown. Ask our locals where to stay when in McBride.
