Historic Joy Kogawa House is the childhood home of Canadian author Joy Kogawa. Joy and her family lived in the house until 1942, when they were sent to an internment camp along with thousands of other Canadians of Japanese descent. Now used as a site for author residencies and literary events, the house stands as a historical reminder of the internment experience of Japanese Canadians during WW2.

First and foremost we are dedicated to sharing an unforgettable day on the water whether its fishing, wildlife spotting, or simply taking in the raw, natural beauty of Tofino. Our passion is creating adventure-filled experiences that will leave you with lifelong memories, a camera roll full of photos, and a better understanding of beautiful Tofino.

We offer 10 log lakeside cabins. And over 20 campsites all located on Fishpot Lake. The main lodge has a licensed resterant, small convienence store and sells basic fishing and hunting supplies and tags. We have a swim dock with diving board and can boast nice swimming through the summer months. We rent boats with electric motors and a canoe as well for touring around the lake. We also have a boat launch, but we do have a motor boat restriction size of 10 horsepower or less gas motors. We have a covered barbeque area and a playground for children as well. Theatre NorthWest is a regional, professional theatre dedicated to bringing our audience a wide range of plays drawn from contemporary Canadian and international repertoires. Actors and other theatre professionals are contracted for each production from across Canada to work with our resident staff in order to bring together a four-play season which runs from September to May.
