Dawn Mountain Nordic Centre: Come and explore our exciting Nordic ski trails in beautiful Golden, BC! We provide 33 km of groomed trails and a 4km snowshoe loop to enjoy. Whether youre a seasoned Nordic skier or its your first time on the trails, we have a variety of terrain to suit all abilities. These trails are maintained by the Golden Nordic Ski Club in agreement with Recreation Sites and Trails BC. Situated only 1km from the popular Kicking Horse Resort, Nordic skiing is a fun activity to add to your winter holiday bucket list. Start your day with Jacquie's awesome gourmet breakfast served in the Fireside Room and relax with coffee on the veranda. Jacquie's guests become friends at this quiet get-away in our beautiful 1920's Heritage home and garden. A couple or family can luxuriate in the spaciousness of our Vista Room in Queen or Twin beds with view of the valley and gardens. You'll sleep soundly in an antique double bed in our Heritage room. Cosy dressing gowns and WiFi provided. Stroll the gardens and sip afternoon tea on the patio or sitting room. Jacquie can advise you about great local restaurants as well as book wine tours, whale watching trips, and birding . As a hiker Jacquie will direct you to local hiking trails and parks. Built in 1894 in the historic fishing village of Steveston, the Gulf of Georgia Cannery National Historic Site is one of B.C.'s few historically intact canneries. The Parks Canada site commemorates the history and the contributions of the diverse communities and cultures of Canada's West Coast fishing industry.
