We display the history of Mackenzie and area. From Summit Lake to Sifton Pass, we showcase the First Nations people, explorers, prospectors, trappers, and settlers that have left a footprint in our valley. The Bulkley Valley Nordic Centre features a 52 km network of cross country ski trails through sheltered spruce and pine forest. 11 km of the trails are dog friendly. 5.5 kms of lit trails provide an excellent opportunity for skiing after work or school. Trail lights are on until 9:30 pm every night. The trails are groomed and set for both classic and skate techniques frequently. The Buchfink Memorial lodge offers a kitchen, indoor washrooms, change rooms, and a roomy seating area upstairs. The Gary Murdoch Memorial wax hut provides a warm and functional space for waxing.
