The Nechako White Sturgeon Conservation Centre hatchery program is dedicated to maintaining genetic diversity and conserving the population of the Nechako White Sturgeon. The hatchery is used to rear sturgeon eggs into one-year old sturgeon for release into the river. Research projects and programs also run out of the hatchery. Visitor Hours: Tours currently available by appointment only. As of Thursday April 24, tours will be available at 2pm daily (including weekends). Specific tour time requests are still available and approved based on operations and staff availability. Call the hatchery at 250-567-6673, email [email protected] or email [email protected] to book.There is an Community Fishing Pond stocked with rainbow trout on-site that is open for public fishing (catch-and-release only) on a drop-in basis. Free rod and tackle gear is available. Adults 16 years+ require a basic fishing licence. The Trout Fishing Pond is open May 1 October 31, dawn to dusk.

The Canadian Museum of Flight is a great family day out. We inspire young people towards a passion for aviation and for science and technology more generally. We tell stories of our rich Canadian aviation history, stories people want to hear and stories people want told. Our hangar is packed with interesting displays and models, fascinating memorabilia and more. Our Museum is a very hands-on facility. Many of our aircraft can be touched, gently. Children can discover aircraft made not only from aluminum, but also from wood and fabric. Weather permitting, several aircraft are open for sitting and dreaming by kids (of all ages). Photo op! We operate 7 days a week and on weekends we offer morning and afternoon departures. During the Covid19 pandemic we are offering "Book a Boat" options on all of our day tours. This option allows guests to reserve a private raft for 4-6 people in order to raft safely within the comforts of their own bubble.

This Farmers' Market offers a unique experience with a permanent outdoor marketplace during the spring/summer including vendor booths, a food barn, a bandshell for local music and a miniature train that runs during the Sunday market. You will find fresh, locally grown produce, meats and eggs as well as fresh baking and preserves. There's plenty of ready to eat food to keep you satisfied as you listen to live music, enjoy local craftspeople and relax around the stage or the children's sandbox. For a relaxing experience to help you get a good sense of what Powell River community feels like, join us from May-Sept on Saturdays from 10:30 am - 12:30 pm and year round on Sundays from 12:30 pm - 2:30pm at 4365 McLeod Road. The Mission Museum is located in Mission, BC, Canada, and is dedicated to upholding the goals of the Mission District Historical Society: "Recording our History, Educating the Community, Preserving our Heritage." Operated by the Society, the Mission Museum exists for the purpose of preserving the history of Mission by way of the collection, preservation, documentation, research and interpretation of three-dimensional objects related to our community's history, making it available to all people through exhibits, events and public programming. Our collection consists of over 10,000 objects which have been donated over the years by businesses, organizations and individual members of the community.
