Ocean Light II Adventures offers wildlife viewing and nature discovery tours on the BC Coast. Our trip destinations include; the Khutzeymateen Grizzly Sanctuary, Gwaii Haanas National Park Reserve, Great Bear Rainforest and Northern Vancouver Island. Our trips are 1 week in length aboard the beautifully newly refinished 71' Ocean Light II. Our boat is incredibly equipped and maintained and our crew will make you feel at home. We have been offering tours on the Coast since 1980 and our experience is unparalleled. Our small groups provide for an intimate wildlife experience. Tyax Lodge & Heliskiing is a British Columbia original, sitting on Tyaughton Lake and surrounded by the Southern Chilcotin Mountains. The lodge offers a fusion of luxury and comfort while retaining a rustic and welcoming atmosphere. The area is renowned for outdoor adventure, with an endless trail system providing some of the best alpine biking routes, hiking trails and nature walks that BC has to offer. Kayaking, canoeing, and stand-up paddleboarding are complimentary to our guests. The resort boasts a beautiful lake view dining room & patio with stunning views, high arched ceilings and a breathtaking stone fireplace. The kitchen features a seasonal a la carte menu from a passionate team of chefs. Additionally, guests can choose to stay at one of the three luxury wilderness chalets at the resort. Offering private accommodations for up to 18 guests (depending on the chalet), they are perfect for a family reunion or getaway. In the summer, if camping is more your approach, guests can choose from five RV lakefront sites and one non-lakefront site. We also have five tent friendly campsites available with water, washrooms, and showers. One tent per site, four people per site maximum.

The Tumbler Ridge Global Geopark is an area recognized as having internationally significant geological heritage. Geoparks aim to reconnect people to the earth, whether through hiking trails, learning about mountain building, eating food grown in the local soils, or celebrating the stories of the people who have lived here since time immemorial.

IMPORTANT: We practice catch & release for ALL trips. Under NO exceptions do we keep fish to bring home to eat. Minimum age requirement of 10. All guests MUST weigh between 80-250 lbs (36-113 kgs) due to limited equipment at this time. After picking you up from your accommodation in Whistler we will get you looking like a local BC angler by putting you in a pair of waders and boots. This allows you to get into the water and stay completely dry! Depending on the time of year, you may catch Rainbow Trout, Bull Trout or Cutthroat Trout and your experienced fishing guide will select a water body that will give you the best chance of catching one of these species. Because of this, you may be fishing in a small stream, river or lake. Our thought process is simple. Drive less and fish more to maximize your time out on the water fishing. There are plenty of lunkers a short drive from the Whistler village.

The Bulkley Valley Nordic Centre features a 52 km network of cross country ski trails through sheltered spruce and pine forest. 11 km of the trails are dog friendly. 5.5 kms of lit trails provide an excellent opportunity for skiing after work or school. Trail lights are on until 9:30 pm every night. The trails are groomed and set for both classic and skate techniques frequently. The Buchfink Memorial lodge offers a kitchen, indoor washrooms, change rooms, and a roomy seating area upstairs. The Gary Murdoch Memorial wax hut provides a warm and functional space for waxing.
