Crowsnest Vineyards was purchased by the Heinecke family in 1985 when the Winery, Restaurant and Guesthouse were launched. Named after the Crowsnest Highway #3, the family was an early contributor to the development of the Similkameen wine region and the wine and food has continuously evolved over the years. Siblings, Sascha and Anna Heinecke were instrumental in the evolution of the business and with the retirement of their parents, took over leadership in 2018 with a bold new vision. The vision is built on the bounty of the regionthe opportunity to express the spectacular local terroir from which we craft our wines and from which grows amazing, fresh ingredients included in our menus, pantry and bakery. We serve this bounty in a relaxed environment at our tasting bar, in our restaurant and on the view patio.

Yellow Dog Brewing is a family-run brewery focused on producing high quality locally crafted beer for everyone to enjoy. In the summer of 2014, Mike and Melinda Coghill opened up Port Moodys very first craft brewery to bring great beer and a family atmosphere to the craft beer world and our little part of Vancouver. Embraced by the community, Yellow Dog has grown into one of BC largest breweries. Liam Murphy heads our brewing team and with a focus on high quality and innovative beers. The singular focus on the quality of beer has led to many awards and a strong following for our core offerings. We are a functioning brewery with an on-site tasting room and patio. Come in and enjoy any one of our latest concoctions and have a peak into our attached brewery to see what is going on today. Tofino Surf School is a local owner operated business. We offer small group sizes and personalized surf lessons. Surfing and teaching people how to surf is our passion. Tofino Surf School has taught thousands of people to surf young and old, including people with disabilities. We would love to get you started too!When you take a lesson with Tofino Surf School you have many options to choose from. You and your friends can opt to book a group lesson, you and your friends can join one of our scheduled lessons. You can can book a private 1-on-1 lesson or if you have some surf experience and your own equipment you can sign up for a surf guide where we show you the best surf spots and paddle out with you. Big Bar Guest Ranch is proudly owned by Stswecemc Xgattem First Nation (SXFN), a community located in a semi-remote area on the the Fraser River, approximately 85 kilometers southwest of Williams Lake. Once two distinct bands, Canoe Creek (Stswecemc) and Dog Creek (Xgattem), our two Secwepemc communities joined together in the late 1800s. We honour our separate histories and our coming together. In the 1860s, more than 10,000 people traversed the Caribou Wagon Roadin search of a new life, land to raise cattle, or a gold strike. Harry Marriott, an immigrant from England, started working for the notorious Gang Ranch, one the largest ranch in Canada. Marriot acquired smaller ranches and land parcels, eventually consolidating them into the O.K Ranching Company, with access over 200,000 acres of cattle country and wilderness. Marriott partnered with his friend and Vancouver banker, George S Harrison and sectioned off 100 acres of their mutual land acquisition for his personal use. This was the beginning of Big Bar Guest Ranch. Much is unchanged since the Harrison family used Big Bar Ranch as their family retreat. The original family home, "The Harrison House", built in 1936 with logs and stone hewn and selected from the property, continues to provide a cozy retreat for guests on holiday relaxing in the great room in front of the fire place, or playing a cowboy song on the guitar in the music room. Big Bar guests have access to the original acreage of the OK Cattle Company, and can venture out across unspoiled pasture lands and forests. What has changed is that Big Bar Guest Ranch is now a part of our shared community vision of becoming an economically and politically self-sustaining community living Secwepemc culture, language, and traditions in a healthy and safe environment. Stswecemc Xgattem First Nation invites you to Big Bar Guest Ranch to experience the dramatic landscape of traditional SXFN Territory: interlocking valleys and plateaus, situated between bold and snow topped mountain ranges. It is our honour to share history as the original inhabitants of this land and welcome you to life on the ranch.
