The Stanley Park Railway is one of Vancouver's most popular attractions, welcoming over 200,000 visitors per year. Situated on a site cleared by Typhoon Freda in 1962, the two kilometer track travels through the forest in iconic Stanley Park. Kids of all ages will enjoy the fun relaxing ride in a replica of Canadian Pacific Railway Engine #374, famous for pulling Canada's first transcontinental passenger train into Vancouver in the late 1880s. The railway hosts events for Easter, Halloween and Christmas and is open for the summer from end-June through Labour Day.

On the picturesque shore at the end of the Burrard Inlet lies the POMO Museum, once the committed terminus of the Canadian Pacific Railway at the first navigable tide waters of the Pacific Ocean. Located beside Rocky Point Park and across from the Brewers Row, there’s lots to see and do. We have a Food Truck onsite, and we’re steps away from Rocky Point Ice Cream, Pajo’s and the Water Park. Accessible from Moody Centre Skytrain. The Museum, formerly the Port Moody Station Museum, is owned and operated by the Port Moody Heritage Society (PMHS) to promote and increase the awareness and knowledge of Port Moody’s heritage and history. Exhibitions at the Museum include the Historic Port Moody CPR Station itself, now in its 3rd location. See artifacts and walk through the parlour, kitchen, and telegraph room, recreated to reflect the station as it was in the 1930s. The Museum is currently featuring the exhibit ‘Port Moody Industries’ & ‘Our Living Languages: First Peoples Voices in BC’, on loan from the Royal Museum of BC, and our own ‘Inclusion’ Exhibit. We’re committed to Reconciliation and sharing the histories of Indigenous Peoples. Enjoy community displays, the Heritage Garden and the Meditation Garden. Our restored 1921 CPR railcar, the “Venosta”, is available to explore or to rent for events.
