Great Bear Lodge offers grizzly bear tours from May to October at a floating lodge in the Great Bear Rainforest. With no other operators in the river system and a maximum of 18 guests, people can feel truly immersed in nature. Tours start with a spectacular seaplane flight from Port Hardy on northern Vancouver Island, and include accommodation, wilderness-gourmet food and bear viewing. The floating lodge is situated at an outstanding wildlife viewing location, where an ocean fjord meets a productive salmon river. - Temporarily closed The Williams Lake Cross Country Ski Club offers over 30 km of beautifully set cross country ski trails at Bull Mountain. We maintain a double set of classic ski tracks with a wide centre lane groomed for skate skiers. Grooming equipment consists of both a new Pisten Bully and a new Alpina Superclass snow machine. We can groom quickly and in both low and high snow conditions. Located 16km North of Williams Lake, off Highway 97 one km up Bull Mnt road we offer designated Dog trails, 3.5km of lit trails, until 10 p.m. nightly, an adventure park, terrain park, and a large stadium for hosting events. Our lodge is fully equipped with a modern kitchen, 3 accessible washrooms and a ski rental facility. We invite you to enjoy the great skiing nearby in 100 Mile and Quesnel and embrace a memorable skiing holiday in the Cariboo.
