Dog Mermaid Eco Excursions, Kayak Rentals & Retreats specializes in Eco and indigenous education and tours, by means of kayaking, paddle boarding, hiking, kids camps, yoga, retreats, and dog sledding (in winter months). Based on Pender Island, our head office is located at Otter Bay Marina, just off the ferry. Along with having the beauty of launching from the bay, mobile services are available to suit your adventure design, and so is our new location on Salt Spring Island! Snowshoeing is a great way to explore winter landscapes. We cater to a wide variety of age groups, fitness and experience levels. If you have never been snowshoeing, fear not, if you can walk you can snowshoe. Join us on a guided tour through beautiful snowshoe designated trails in the sub-alpine forests of the Selkirk Mountains. Tour includes snowshoes, tea, snacks and a gondola ride.

Queen Elizabeth Park Pitch & Putt offers beautiful views of the city, as well as an excellent way of enjoying the natural beauty of the park. This popular 18-hole golf course is surrounded by pretty blossoming trees. The 18 short, contoured par 3s (none over 110 yards) are set along a course where there are no hazards in play, making this a perfect course for those new to the game. Pitch & putt is perfect for new golfers or people who want to enjoy short rounds of golf. Queen Elizabeth Pitch & Putt hosts many activities including day camps, mini tournaments and corporate functions.

The Vanderhoof Tourism and Cultural Centre opened its doors on June 30, 2022 and is located on the corner of Highway 16 and Pine Street on the traditional territory of Saikuz First Nation. Stop in to pick up some brochures, check out some local art, and chat with one of the friendly Visitor Services Specialists about the exciting things you can do in Vanderhoof. The Vanderhoof Community Museum is also located on these grounds. We encourage you to take a tour through our collection of six historic buildings at your own pace or with a guide. Admission is by donation and includes a large RV parking lot, free WIFI, wheelchair accessible picnic tables and a 1.5km interpretive walking trail. We hope to see you soon!

The 94 Mile Motel has underwent an extensive renovation in the 2016 season; from linens and beds to kitchens and baths, everything has received an upgrade. The Motel also has a seasonal RV Park (May-September)featuring 6 RV sites complete with full hook ups! Located in the Cariboo, 5 minutes South of 100 Mile House, B.C.

The beautiful waters of Harrison Lake cut a gentle crescent through British Columbia's Coast Mountains, collecting glacial runoff waters into a basin that's as scenic as it is frigid. The Seaview Room with queen bed on the 2nd floor offers a separate private bath. "The Nest" is a romantic guest room on the 3rd floor with an ensuite. Laburnum Cottage is a self-contained, self-catering separate cottage of 350 square feet with a kitchen, social area, queen bedroom and bathroom with shower. All rooms are accessed by staircases. No lift (elevator) is available at this property. Laburnum cottage is accessed separately from the other 2 rooms.

The Hambleton Galleries have been the Okanagan's fine art gallery since 1963, showcasing the best of local and Canadian art.

A 300 acre nature reserve with level walking trails, bird viewing blinds, observation tower and interpretive centre (free) . Known for a large nesting colony of Great Blue Herons which nest from March through July. Great bird and wildlife watching. Check website for free community programs and special events. Trail open dawn to dusk. Rotary Interpretive Centre is open 10 am to 4 pm.
