Our goal is to provide our guests with the finest personal service and a good night's sleep. Awake every morning to our famous free full menu breakfast. Located in the beautiful mountain town of Smithers, BC we are within walking distance of restaurants, shopping and nightly entertainment. Our staff can provide information on hiking, paddling, fishing and skiing. All rooms are non-smoking,clean and quiet. The beds are comfy with warm duvets, each room has a large flat screen HDTV, Wi-Fi, air conditioning, and phone. We hope the Stork Nest Inn will be your base camp to adventure in Northern BC.

One of those areas is the Wells Gray Park, 5200 sq. kilometer of protected wilderness in Central British Columbia. Bounded on the north and east by the Cariboo Mountains, and on the west by an upland plateau, the Wells Gray Park encompasses a broad spectrum of mountain scenery. The area is abundant in flora and fauna. Caribou, moose, black bear, beaver and wolf freely roam the park, and local streams are well stocked with trout. Horseback riding, fishing, mountain biking, river rafting, hiking and canoeing into the local wilderness are all part of the ranch's daily summer routine. Your skilled guide will lead you to adventures on remote mountains, valleys and lakes in a setting as spectacular as it is challenging. Located on 20 beautiful acres of riverfront property, we offer 8 cabins and 2 lodge rooms. We have an amazing wedding venue - a rustic barn with just enough modern touches and beautiful exposed wood to make any event stunning! Ceremony and reception can be help at the same place with stunning backdrops of the mountains and Blaeberry River. Summer 2020 has us going back to our original business model rather than hosting weddings so we are excited to offer cabin rentals this year. If you've wanted to come stay with us in recent years and haven't been able to, now is your chance! Winter time is magical out here - our cabins sit amongst snowy trees and have wood burning fireplaces! Snowshoe trails are put in right on site as well. The cabins are all equipped with basic kitchenettes as there is no restaurant on site. Golden is a short, 10 minute drive away and offers a great selection of restaurants, pubs and coffee shops. It's a must see property with lots to see and do.
