Since 2010, the Karen Cooper Gallery has resided on historic Granville Island, Vancouver's premiere art and artisan district. The gallery invites all to reflect on the mosaic of elegant landscapes and wildlife which portray British Columbia's diverse and luxurious natural beauty. As an artwork which occupies space, these landscapes eternally preserve our endless sense of wonder toward the complexity of the natural world. The gallery combines the timeless desire for exploration with fine art practices to produce an immersive visual narrative of the ever-changing wilderness. The Karen Cooper Gallery is where one can find a moment to connect with and reflect on the grandeur of the local natural world.

The Oceanfront Hotel is a pet friendly family owned business that has been run by us ( Robin and Ray ) for the last 30 years. It boasts panoramic sea views from the majority of our rooms. Guests can enjoy the sound of the ocean from their balconies and bring along their pets for the ultimate family getaway. This beachfront property is located 250 feet from Sointula ferry terminal. Your ferry fare includes the return trip and seniors travel free from Monday - Thursday. Cable TV, a microwave, coffee pot, tea kettle, and a mini fridge is standard in each brightly decorated room with use of a communal kitchen. Private kitchens and kitchenettes are also available in select rooms. Free wifi is offered in all areas. Whale-watching, sports fishing and crabbing charters are available, just ask us! Beach combing for sea-glass, hiking trails and kayaking opportunities are also available from our property! Come enjoy our small island lifestyle, and leave feeling refreshed, rejuvenated, and at peace! Oh, and please drink the water! It's the best in the world! We offer both short and long term accommodations. While our pub is currently closed due to COVID, we have opened a new takeout window that is open for lunch and dinner from 11:30-1:30/5-8 every day! Discover Whistler's original summer activity the legendary River of Golden Dreams and scenic Alta Lake The flat water river is more than just a float, its an Exploring Adventure. Spectacular views of mountain peaks, Beaver, Eagles, Osprey, Herons and even Black Bears are regular sights that will have you eagerly wondering whats around the next bend. Unlike an amusement park ride River of Golden Dreams trips allow you to be an active participant, one of the reasons people keep coming back to paddle the river. In the spring the water levels can be high and moving though always flat and no rapids. By mid-summer water levels are gentle. By late summer the beaver start rebuilding their dams creating pools to paddle in. Guides are recommended, though experienced river paddlers go unguided. Our River trips have limited availability and often sell out, please pre book to assure your spot. Located at Lakeside Park minutes from Whistler Village.

We offer trips from PORT HARDY to NANAIMO depending on the time of year and where the best diving is at the time.
