The Ferry Building Gallery is a public community gallery operated by the District of West Vancouver. Located at the center of the Ambleside Landing area in one of West Vancouvers oldest buildings, it serves as a hub for arts and culture. The gallery presents up to 18 exhibitions annually to more than 500 visitors each week. The mandate of the gallery is to support the development of emerging and established artists from the North Shore, the Sea-to-Sky Corridor and the Sunshine Coast. By organizing art lectures, workshops, tours and programs that reflect the cultural diversity of the North Shore, the gallery provides valuable and enriching artist-led experiences to the community. The Ferry Building Gallery is located on the traditional, ancestral and unceded territory of the Squamish Nation, Tsleil-Waututh Nation and Musqueam Nation. We recognize and respect them as nations in this territory and their historic connection to the lands and waters around us since time immemorial.

Built in 1894 in the historic fishing village of Steveston, the Gulf of Georgia Cannery National Historic Site is one of B.C.'s few historically intact canneries. The Parks Canada site commemorates the history and the contributions of the diverse communities and cultures of Canada's West Coast fishing industry.
