Established in 1959, Covert Farms Family Estate Winery is located in Oliver, BC on 650 acres of benchland. Winemaker Gene Covert is a 3rd generation farmer who worked this land with his father and grandfather. Our certified organic estate vineyards are influenced by the majestic McIntyre Bluff and managed with biodynamic practices. We craft our estate wines with minimal intervention, using natural fermentation when possible to focus on vineyard and fruit. Our white wines display purity of fruit and a crisp natural acidity coveted by growers, and low yields result in terroir-focused artisan reds that are luscious and age-worthy. Those who love recreation dually appreciate our location at the gateway to the iconic Okanagan landmark McIntyre Bluff, which makes a great place to picnic, bike ride or hike. We welcome guests for free wine tastings. Guests are also able to purchase locally produced white, red, Rosé, sparkling, Ice wine, and dessert wines including port style wines. Situated in Penticton, at the gateway to the picturesque Naramata Bench, Upper Bench offers a unique experience to locals and visitors by offering pairings of their two passions: award winning wine and artisan cheese. Upper Bench believes great wine is made in the vineyard and farms sustainably, without the use of chemicals or pesticides. Upper Bench produces big bold reds and crisp dry whites. All of Upper Bench's wines come from the mature vines on our unique seven-acre vineyard and a select few other vineyards along the Naramata Bench. Upper Bench is also a CFIA registered creamery, using locally sourced, 100% pasteurized Canadian cows milk. All of our cheese are gluten and additive free, and we maintain our Safe Food for Canadians License. We produce washed, bloomy, natural rinds, lactic, and blue cheese, which are purposefully crafted to pair with our wines.

The Penticton & District Community Arts Council is located inside the historic Leir House Cultural Centre. Visitors are invited to tour the house while taking in the current art exhibition. The arts council offers fun art classes each month and has locally made items for sale in the gift shop. There are artists in residence to visit and it is also the home of the Penticton Potters' Guild and the Penticton Academy of Music & Dramatic Arts.
