Continuously occupied for over 4,300 years, Yuquot village became the capital for all 17 tribes of the Nootka Sound region. Known as the Birthplace of BC where first contact with European explorers and traders occurred 250 years ago. Attracted to the security of the harbour, it became known to explorers as Friendly Cove. As a result, Yuquot developed into an important centre of trade and diplomacy, and it was briefly the site of Spains only military establishment in present-day Canada.

Casa Colina Bed & Breakfast is located just 15 minutes south of Penticton on nine scenic & secluded hilltop acres with a heated outdoor pool. Our southwestern adobe style property features three spacious B&B Suites and a separate, self-contained cottage. Each of the suites is decorated in a rustic yet casually elegant style with private entrances, full ensuite baths, and a deck or patio with panoramic views of the surrounding hills and valleys. The Cariboo Ski Touring Club is a non-profit organization that caters to cross-country, skate skiing and snowshoers. We provide 75 km of groomed trails for both classic and skate skiing. We also have 10 km of snowshoe trails. We offer youth program, biatlhon and lessons. Rental Shop available for renting skiing and snowshoeing equipment. Day Lodge on site.
