As Ginsmiths we are totally inspired by BC's wilderness diversity, from our rugged coastlines to pristine mountains, waterways and unique botanicals. We became Vancouvers First Micro-Distillery back in 2013, when we started distilling our first spirits, all from a place of passion and a devotion for gin. Our skill for crafting noteworthy botanical blends for our spirits speaks for itself. Outfitted with our custom designed 300L copper pot still, we handcraft all our premium spirits in small-batches from our unique botanical blends that allow our spirits to speak for themselves. The result a host of international awards for our premium Gins and seasonal spirits. We want you to think of our long table as a place where kindred spirits meet!

McLean Mill is a rare, surviving example of an early-to-mid 20th century logging and lumber operation in British Columbia. Established in 1925 by Robert Bartlett McLean, his wife Cora and their three sons, it continued as a family-run operation until 1965. McLean Mill was designated a national historic site of Canada in 1989 to commemorate its collection of extant resources related to significant aspects of the forest industry. Whether you wish to take in the history or to go for scenic walk with your family or fur baby, you wont be disappointed. The surroundings are breathtaking and informative. Grab the family, bring a picnic and make it a day at the Mill! 10am-4pm 7-Days/Week during the summer season, however the Mill and Steam Donkey are non operational at this present time. Take a Self-Guided Walking Tour and explore the historic site, buildings and machinery. Admission during the summer season is $10/Adult, $5/Students/Seniors & 7 and Under is Free.

The Sointula Resource Centre operates the official Visitor Centre for Sointula and Malcolm Island. Stop here first for maps, island information and details on local businesses. We offer a free bike share and e-bike rental program from May through October (more information can be found here - mibike.ca). We have public-use computers, offer tech and web assistance, and provide office services such as printing, copying, scanning, faxing, laminating, and more.

We invite you to come and catch your breath. Immerse yourself in the beauty of the rugged British Columbia coast, protected by the islands and inlets of the Broughton Archipelago. Our intimate 38-acre setting on Malcolm Island welcomes families, friends, business associates, and individuals as guests. A maximum of 18 guests per trip allows for personal service that cannot be matched. Built in the mid 1900s, the lodge is rich in history and unique architecture. The main lodge is the center of the property where you spend cocktail hour, and dine in our ocean view dining room. Our historic farm setting is also home to a herd of alpacas. While at Sointula Lodge, guests stay in one of our 12 guest rooms, which are either original Cedar cabins or small log cabins built with Vancouver Island Douglas Fir trees. All of our cabins are furnished to feel like a home away from home. Most rooms have two beds in each room and all cabins have a private bath. Comfortable beds are adorned with down comforters and cotton sheets. Cabin extras include cozy robes, Canadian bath amenities, daily room service and turn down services, outdoor seating and ocean views. Fishing Package: Our calm, protected waters offer one of the most unique saltwater fishing experiences on the British Columbia Coast. All five species of pacific salmon, as well as halibut, lingcod, and other bottom fish can be caught just minutes from our dock. Our 4-day and 5-day all-inclusive fishing packages offer access to remote coastal fishing grounds, premium fish processing, luxury accommodations and dining, wine and spirits. Fish each day with a fully-certified, experienced guide equipped with top-of-the-line rods, reels, and gear. Whether you're a seasoned angler or fishing for the first time, unforgettable memories are guaranteed. Wilderness Package: When booking a wildlife package, youre booking a customizable wilderness escape by private boat. We are located in one of the most concentrated areas of marine wildlife in the world: The Broughton Archipelago. Our experienced guides will take you through the stunning landscape by comfortable, 27ft cabin enclosed, heated vessels to see Humpback, Orca and Minke whales, Pacific White-Sided Dolphins and porpoises, seals, stellar sea-lions, sea-otters, bald eagles, and if youre lucky, elusive populations of coastal wolves and cougars. As we cruise nearby beaches, grizzlies and black bears can be seen feeding along the shoreline, and you cant help but become immersed in the rugged beauty of coastal British Columbia. Along with the abundance of wildlife comes the extraordinary scenery that these animals call home. Hike on remote islands through gigantic western red cedar trees, swim through stunning waterfalls surrounded by 2000 foot granite cliffs, and fall in love with untouched nature in the remote inlets of the Broughton Archipelago. Relax in the evenings with 5-star coastal-inspired cuisine, fine wine and spirits, and finish off the night with a hot tub or traditional Finnish Sauna.
