The Gold Panner Campground is family operated and located in the foothills of the Monashee mountains. Our campground is dog friendly. We kindly ask that you clean up after your dog and keep them on a leash at all times. Some of the amenities at the Gold Panner Campground are: a covered BBQ area, playground, museum, coin operated showers, flushing toilets, and multiple outhouses. Whether your camping in a tent, 5th wheel, truck camper, RV, camper van, car, truck, motor home, van, or travelling lite and need a chalet or cabin, we will have something for you. There are 3 beautiful Chalets that sleep 8-9 and 4 smaller cabins that sleep up to 6. As it stands, the Palms hotel is the most luxurious hotel in Nanaimo. We have the largest hotel suites on Vancouver Island. Our Presidential suites are 700+- square feet, has a full hi-end kitchen (not kitchenette), complete with cooking wares. We are located on the Pacific Rim Highway, 7 kilometres south of Tofino and 25 kilometres north of the Highway 4 and Pacific Rim Highway junction. The facility is equipped with bathrooms, picnic tables, wifi, and a water station as well our friendly staff who will help you with any questions you may have, providing you with great resources! We have an abundance of information including various maps of the area and beyond, accommodations, restaurants, attractions, tours, local events, tide guides, trail maps, and more! Shop our Tofino inspired apparel, souvenirs, postcards, maps, children's books & toys as well as a beautiful selection of products from local artisans. We also have a selection of ocean friendly goods to help reduce the use of single use plastics.

The Chetwynd Visitor Centre is conveniently located and has ample parking for RVs. The Visitor Centre is within walking distance of many of our 170+ chainsaw carvings sculptures including the annual competition carvings. Basic facilities are public washrooms, high-speed internet with coffee lounge and is pet friendly. Bikes and sport equipment is available for free use during your visit.

The Poolside Suite, which is on the lower floor of the main house, where we live, is very spacious and has its own private entrance, patio, and secluded terrace leading to the pool area. The pool area is shared with the Carriage House, also listed on this site number 151470 and occasionally no more than 2 Airstream guests. We have a seasonally heated saltwater pool and lawned area with a badminton/volleyball net, both shared with the Carriage House also listed on this site. The price is based on number of guests. The suite has one queen bedroom, day bed for 2nd guest situated in a separate room and 2nd bedroom has two twin beds available to 3rd and 4th. Should the second guest wish to use the second bedroom then we do charge extra, but with our day bed in a separate room, it should not be necessary. The kitchen has a microwave, countertop convection oven, two-plate hob, breakfast bar, fridge and freezer, crockery, coffee maker, and kettle, where you can enjoy preparing a meal whilst keeping your eye on your little ones, watching TV or socializing with your accompanying guests. The pool table is an extra bonus available to those guests with no accompanying children.We have a barbecue on the private patio, pictures of all can be viewed under photos. I adore gardening so there is an abundance of hanging baskets and climbing plants on the terrace to be enjoyed including grapevines. We welcome children of all ages, however, for longer stays, for large families or those with several very young children we recommend our 2-bedroomed Carriage Houser also advertised on this site, which has a full kitchen, dishwasher, washer-dryer, and private gardens.For the security of all our guests, we only allow registered guests onto the property so rest assured there will always be a spot for you by the pool.Tourist License / Licencia de turismo N °: 4392
