Facilities: 16 campsites, pit toilets, water hand pump. Location: 5 km west of Rock Creek on Highway 3. Johnstone Creek is a quiet, forested campground just off Highway 3. Whether you are looking for relaxation in a beautiful nature setting or are seeking a well situated roadside stopover 35 minutes west of Osoyoos, this campground is less than 10 minutes from Rock Creek and Kettle River Recreation Area. Campsites are often available for last-minute campers in peak months. Fees are cash only and are self-registration. The park has 38 hectares of mature Douglas fir, larch and spruce trees that provide habitat for woodpeckers and other cavity nesting bird species. White-tailed deer are often seen in the park. Wildlife viewing opportunities can be observed from the short nature loop hike and lookout trail. Open from the May Long Weekend through the second weekend in September.

Paddlers Inn is an affordable oceanfront accommodation in the heart of Tofino's waterfront village. This forested campground offers a sunny creek-side setting for campers of all kinds, with more trees and privacy on the north end in the first-come, first-served section and sunnier pull-through sites on the south end in the reservable section. Forest Rose Campground has 30 campsites that can be booked in advance, as well as 26 campsites in the first-come, first-served section. It features a playground, and a washroom building with flush toilets, potable water, and coin-operated showers. Bear-proof garbage and recycling bins are offered in central locations throughout the campground. All campsites are equipped with a wheelchair-accessible picnic table and campfire ring. Firewood is available for an additional fee of $10 per day. Campsites are an average of 55 feet long and 13 feet wide and can accommodate most trailers and RVs. Forest Rose Campground is located off of the Bowron Lake Road, along the east side of Williams Creek and a stone's throw from the Barkerville Highway. It's 2 km north of the Barkerville Visitor Centre. Guests can travel back and forth from the Historic Zone to Forest Rose via the highway, or cross the highway on foot to access a well-groomed walking path. Forest Rose Campground is part of the 1,100-hectare property that forms Barkerville Historic Town & Park and is managed by Barkerville Heritage Trust.
