The Nikkei Internment Memorial Centre is dedicated to preserving and sharing the history of the internment of over 22,000 Japanese Canadians during the Second World War. The Nikkei Internment Memorial Centre opened its doors in 1994 as an initiative from the New Denver Kyowakai Society to commemorate and honor the stories of over 22,000 Japanese Canadians who were stripped of their civil rights, labelled "enemy aliens" and uprooted from their coastal homes during the Second World War. Located on the site of a former internment camp, the original buildings, period artifacts, interpretive displays, and Heiwa Teien garden designed by the renowned Roy (Tomomichi) Sumi, chronicle this extraordinary episode in Canadian history.

Our cottages are some of the few remaining historic Union Steamship Company cottages, built in the 1920s, that have been carefully preserved to maintain their original character. Mount Baker RV Park is located alongside scenic Josephs Creek at 1501 1st Street South in Cranbrook, BC. The park is located within walking distance to downtown Cranbrook for convenient shopping and restaurants. We are close to the Cranbrook History Centre, Fort Steele Heritage Town and much more. There are 5 great golf courses within minutes of the park. Close by is Rails to Trails, the Rotary Walkway, Rotary Park which includes a fabulous splash park and the Western Financial RecPlex (aquatic centre, hockey arena, squash or racquetball and outdoor fitness circuit). Pickle ball courts, softball and soccer fields, are also just a short distance away where you can enjoy your regular fitness and fun activities. We welcome tourists, summer vacationers, family visitors, family reunions, golfers, anglers and sports teams. Campers are encouraged to bring a pressure water reducer valve as the park has a high PSI rating of 115. Power generators may not be used in the park.

Higgin's Inn is a spacious well planned facility close to the most popular beach in Powell River. The suites are large former apartments, beautifully appointed, and fully equipped for short or long-term accommodation. Each suite has a full kitchen, dining room, living room private bath and one, two or three bedrooms. We also have our newest addition: A ground-floor accessibility suite with special features in the kitchen and bathroom to make our guests with mobility challenges extra comfortable. The Penthouse suite is our most popular especially for family and friends reunions.
