Since 1979, GREAT NORTHERN has strived to provide a quality wilderness skiing experience for our valued guests.We are passionate and focused on maximizing the uniqueness of our operation with highly personalized service and a refreshing attitude towards the ski vacation experience. Distinguished by our individuality, Great Northerns exclusive boutiqueness offers a smaller, more personalized backcountry skiing alternative. By choice, we operate only one state-of-the art passenger snowcat, with just one group of 16 skiers per week. Our signature service from friendly and professional reservation, mountain and lodge staff guarantees our guests' comforts and well-being are first and foremost. With 45 square miles of pristine terrain and over 600 inches of snow annually, Great Northern skiers experience a truly unique sense of intimacy and adventure in the heart of the majestic Selkirk Mountains of British Columbia.
Markham House
Secluded on 10 acres, only 35 minutes from Downtown Victoria, B.C. Close to beaches, parks and hiking trails. Extensive Gardens and Forest. King, Queen and Twin beds. Honeysuckle cottage on the edge of our woods is a favorite for romantics. Cable, DVD, Stereo, Telephone, WiFi in all rooms. Elegant breakfast served at the time of your choice in the main dining room or, at the cottage for cottage guests.
Sauna House B&B
We are located a one minute stroll to the surf, sand and sunsets of Chesterman Beach. The unique feature of the Cabin is that it has a authentic finish wood, heat sauna, has a sunny deck, kitchenette and double bed. In the bird lovers Loft the local birds will entertain you by your window, also has pine cathedral ceilings and queen bed. A breakfast tray served to your door that your taste buds won't soon forget.
Fort Rodd Hill and Fisgard Lighthouse National Historic Sites
A 20-minute drive from downtown Victoria, Fort Rodd Hill and Fisgard Lighthouse National Historic Sites offer abundant ways to spend a fascinating half or full day exploring historic battlements, weapons and displays. Stroll through a restored Garry oak meadow. Take the 10-minute walk to Fisgard Lighthouse. Extend your stay camping in an outdoor oTENTik. Check the forts annual schedule and plan your visit around special family events.
Fishpot Lake Resort
We offer 10 log lakeside cabins. And over 20 campsites all located on Fishpot Lake. The main lodge has a licensed resterant, small convienence store and sells basic fishing and hunting supplies and tags. We have a swim dock with diving board and can boast nice swimming through the summer months. We rent boats with electric motors and a canoe as well for touring around the lake. We also have a boat launch, but we do have a motor boat restriction size of 10 horsepower or less gas motors. We have a covered barbeque area and a playground for children as well. Gold Panner Campground
The Gold Panner Campground is family operated and located in the foothills of the Monashee mountains. Our campground is dog friendly. We kindly ask that you clean up after your dog and keep them on a leash at all times. Some of the amenities at the Gold Panner Campground are: a covered BBQ area, playground, museum, coin operated showers, flushing toilets, and multiple outhouses. Whether your camping in a tent, 5th wheel, truck camper, RV, camper van, car, truck, motor home, van, or travelling lite and need a chalet or cabin, we will have something for you. There are 3 beautiful Chalets that sleep 8-9 and 4 smaller cabins that sleep up to 6.
