We are Transport Canada certified, and our guides are CTAG certified - ensuring you have a safe, productive and fun filled trip. We only use the best fishing tackle available to maximize your experience. If you are looking for multi-day lodge trips we specialize in placing our guests in lodges in Bamfield and Barkley Sound. We offer trips customized to large corporate teams, as well as families with children. MacSailing Inc.
MacSailing is the sailing school at the Jericho Sailing Center in Vancouver. We offer introductory sailing lessons for children and adults. Our goal is to offer a complete sailing experience based upon excellent instruction and a safe environment, utilizing equipment appropriate for all ages in a fun and dynamic atmosphere. All of our coaches are Sail Canada (or equivalent) certified with water safety and first-aid training.
Elk Valley Nordic Centre
This non-profit society manages over 20 km of nordic trails groomed for classic and skate winter skiing in two areas managed by the club. One area is in town at the Fernie Golf Course featuring 12 km of trails on fairly mellow terrain with wide open spaces. There are also more than 10 km of trails at the Elk Valley Nordic Centre next to Mount Fernie Provincial Park. To reach the Elk Valley Nordic Centre, go west from Fernie on Highway 3. At 3 km from the bridge, turn right at the Island Lake Lodge sign. Follow the road for 0.9 km to the Mt. Fernie Provincial Park sign. Turn left into the overflow parking lot at 0.2 km. The hilly terrain and isolated nature of the trails makes this a very exciting place to ski. The trails link up with the multi-use trails at Fernie Alpine Resort. Trail maps are posted at the kiosks located at the entrances to the trails. Please NO DOGS ON THE TRAILS at any time. The Elk Valley Nordic Centre Warming Hut is located at (49.485633 N, 115.090980 W).
