The South Cariboo Visitor Centre is a charming log building and home of the unofficial "World's Largest X-Country Skis". Located along the 100 Mile Marsh, it's a great stop for a picnic and bird watching. Ask a knowledgeable and friendly Visitor Information Counsellor for assistance with local or provincial information and you won't be disappointed! A 300 acre nature reserve with level walking trails, bird viewing blinds, observation tower and interpretive centre (free) . Known for a large nesting colony of Great Blue Herons which nest from March through July. Great bird and wildlife watching. Check website for free community programs and special events. Trail open dawn to dusk. Rotary Interpretive Centre is open 10 am to 4 pm.
