Situated in Penticton, at the gateway to the picturesque Naramata Bench, Upper Bench offers a unique experience to locals and visitors by offering pairings of their two passions: award winning wine and artisan cheese. Upper Bench believes great wine is made in the vineyard and farms sustainably, without the use of chemicals or pesticides. Upper Bench produces big bold reds and crisp dry whites. All of Upper Bench's wines come from the mature vines on our unique seven-acre vineyard and a select few other vineyards along the Naramata Bench. Upper Bench is also a CFIA registered creamery, using locally sourced, 100% pasteurized Canadian cows milk. All of our cheese are gluten and additive free, and we maintain our Safe Food for Canadians License. Clos du Soleil is a small artisan winery and estate vineyard on the Upper Bench of the South Similkameen Valley, in British Columbia, Canada. We produce ultra-premium quality wines, borrowing an aesthetic derived from the great wines of Bordeaux, but stamped with the flavours and aromas of our particular piece of rocky Similkameen land. Through traditional winemaking techniques, informed by research, but adhering to the philosophies of minimal-interventionist winemaking and biodynamic viticulture, we produce wines that are complex and classic, ageable, and elegant.
