Situated on the shores of Westwood Lake at the foot of Mount Benson in Nanaimo, the Centre is a 5-minute walk from a swimming beach, is surrounded by forest, and is connected to miles of hiking trails. The Centre has an outdoor Chartres-style labyrinth, a finger labyrinth museum, a gift shop, a library, an organic vegetable garden and a contained eco-system outdoor pond. (glasses are available for hire free of charge, deposit requires and will be refunded once the glasses are returned in good condition) B&B is also available should you require to stay overnight.

Located on peaceful Denman Island, Fillongley Provincial Park is a short 10-minute ferry crossing from Buckley Bay (located between Qualicum Beach and the town of Courtenay). Fillongley is a popular small campground. It has 10 oceanside, compact campsites. It is 80% reservable and reservations are strongly recommended due to the limited number of campsites available. This is the only provincial campground on Denman Island; campers may camp in the adjacent day-use parking lot overnight when the main campground is full (regular camping fees apply to overflow camping).

An Artisan Gallery featuring unique works made by local artisans and restaurant with large patio are also in the main reception building.

We offer year round exceptional Stand Up Paddleboarding Experiences on southern Vancouver Island on the west coast of Canada. We are a mobile business and can help you with guided tours, lessons, events and rentals. We also sell boards, paddles and all the other gear you need to make your paddling experience safe and fun. Please book online or call/text/email to make an appointment of book a session. We are open year round from dawn to dusk and offer night paddles too. We often paddle with otters and seals while eagles soar overhead. SUP (stand up paddleboarding) is a great way to experience the beauty of Victoria and southern Vancouver Island. Today, this 26 acre wheelchair accessible provincial heritage site is a tourist destination offering heritage interpretation, hiking, and day use facilities.
