Summerland Ornamental Gardens
Established in 1916 as part of the Dominion Experimental Farm, now the Summerland Research and Development Centre, the 6 hectare, Summerland Ornamental Gardens was designed to help residents, choose ornamental plants for their gardens that would be suitable for the dry Okanagan climate. In collaboration with Agriculture Canada, the site is maintained by the non-profit society, the Friends of Summerland Ornamental Gardens. As you stroll through the Gardens you will have views of Okanagan Lake, Giant's Head Mountain and the Trout Creek Trestle railroad bridge, an outstanding engineering feat constructed for the Kettle Valley Railway. Visit the demonstration garden beds and learn principles of water-smart gardening with the diverse Welcome Garden, Xeriscape Garden, Butterfly Garden, Vegetable garden, Canadian Heritage Rose garden, Fairy Garden and more. The gardens are open year-round. Our society gratefully requests a minimum donation $5.00 per person to keep us growing.
Yasodhara Ashram
Yasodhara Ashram is a yoga retreat and study centre founded by Swami Sivananda Radha in 1963, in Kootenay Bay, British Columbia, Canada. Set in the beautiful mountains of southeastern British Columbia, we invite people of all ages and backgrounds to pursue their self-development and discover the promise of yoga. We offer a wide range of yoga programs year round from a three-month intensive, to Restorative Retreats, 5&7 Day Retreats, 12 Day Yoga Journey, teacher certifications and introductions to yoga. Our popular Service programs are for those interested in learning about Karma Yoga, or the yoga of selfless service, our main spiritual practice. We are also home to the Temple of Light, symbol of peace, hope and unity open to all.

Anuttara Ashram is tucked away in the sacred mountains of the Nass Valley, in the Nisga'a Nation. With 100 acres of forest, water falls, cliffs and sitting right next to the Nass River we provide a quiet oasis for anyone seeking to retreat into the stillness. We provide 3 healthy, vegetarian/vegan meals a day along with guided yoga and meditation.
Screamin’ Reels Fishing and Charters
Screamin' Reels offers full day fishing tours, eco tours, hot springs, and whale watching. Our spacious 34' charter vessel provides ample comfortable seating and our full bathroom facilities on board ensures a comfortable day for all our guests. As a full service company, we provide on-board non-alcoholic beverages, snacks, lunch and treat for the ride back to the marina in Kitimat.

Mellowood Studio and Art Gallery
An in-home gallery and studio featuring the work of multi-media artist Val van der Poel. Visitors will see a variety of original art and, if they want they can have a mini-lesson in watercolour, acrylics, paper quilling or Alphabet Art. The artist also offers private and group lessons as well as Watercolour Painting Parties - please book ahead.
