Established in 1916 as part of the Dominion Experimental Farm, now the Summerland Research and Development Centre, the 6 hectare, Summerland Ornamental Gardens was designed to help residents, choose ornamental plants for their gardens that would be suitable for the dry Okanagan climate. In collaboration with Agriculture Canada, the site is maintained by the non-profit society, the Friends of Summerland Ornamental Gardens. As you stroll through the Gardens you will have views of Okanagan Lake, Giant's Head Mountain and the Trout Creek Trestle railroad bridge, an outstanding engineering feat constructed for the Kettle Valley Railway. Visit the demonstration garden beds and learn principles of water-smart gardening with the diverse Welcome Garden, Xeriscape Garden, Butterfly Garden, Vegetable garden, Canadian Heritage Rose garden, Fairy Garden and more. The gardens are open year-round. Our society gratefully requests a minimum donation $5.00 per person to keep us growing.

Dawn Mountain Nordic Centre: Come and explore our exciting Nordic ski trails in beautiful Golden, BC! We provide 33 km of groomed trails and a 4km snowshoe loop to enjoy. Whether youre a seasoned Nordic skier or its your first time on the trails, we have a variety of terrain to suit all abilities. These trails are maintained by the Golden Nordic Ski Club in agreement with Recreation Sites and Trails BC. Situated only 1km from the popular Kicking Horse Resort, Nordic skiing is a fun activity to add to your winter holiday bucket list. Sunstone Golf Club is nestled between 2 rivers at the base of Mount Ts'zil which is also known as, Mount Currie. Mount Ts'zil dominates the skyline of Sunstone Golf Club which sits upon a sprawling golf course located in Pemberton, BC. Sunstone Golf Club offers two distinctly different layouts. The first nine holes of the course is sprawled across the grassy, wide-open Meadows. The front nine features the course's signature hole, the par-4 eighth. This hole's trademark is the tricky island green, which requires a tremendously skillful second shot. The densely forested back nine is tighter and more difficult than the first half of the layout. Water hazards come into play throughout but they are mostly concentrated on the first nine. Whether you are looking for a relaxing lunch, dinner out, or a drink after your round, Sunstone Bar & Grill brings exquisite food and exceptional service in a friendly and warm atmosphere.
